Nice picks eh.

Johnson is stuck in a terrible situation but he is one of the most talented WRs I've ever seen.

I would not mind having the other Johnson "Andre Johnson" in Houston. Great talent that has been playing on a bad team

He is a freak of nature. Completely unstoppable, teams had two guys in his face all year last year and he still went about his business.

I also really like the way Steve Smith plays the game.

Thats why hindsight gets me really frustrated about the Roy trade, there are some far more dynamic WRs in the league we could have had for what we gave up.

Pressent: Ed Reed

That would shore up our secondary for a very long time.

Past: Jerry Rice

The consumate professional and was a WR perfectionist.

Past: Jack Lambert - I always wished he had been a Cowboy instead of a Stealer. Anthony Munoz would be another one.

Present: Jonathan Ogden - Well it was recent, does that count? If not, Walter Jones

Would have had to give up Aikman, so glad it didn't go that route, but man what a monster.

Currently? Troy Polamalu (spelling?).

Of all time it would have to be Jerry Rice. Before or since there isn't any WR even close to what that guy could do. I doubt we will ever see anyone like him again.

This thread hurts.

Recent past/present: Reed. Can you imagine our teams of 2001-2008 with Reed in place of Williams. Not to mention the other players we could've selected after trading down from 8 to 28 that year.

Past: My initial response was Montana. I consider him the great player of all time at the games highest impact position. But if you go back and examine to time frame you'd see he just wasn't in the cards for us.
We had an established veteran QB in White at the time who was just taking over for Staubach. And the player we selected over Montana, (Doug Cosbie) was also a great player for us. Would we have been better off selected Montana in 1979? Of course, but you can't cry to much with how things turned out.

Now Rice and Moss are a different story. I believe they are the 1st and 2nd best players to ever play WR. Both fit an obvious need at the time and I was certain we were going to draft both of them. That's some serious split milk there.
