present: Adrian Peterson. The guy is the whole package. Freakish combo of power and speed.

past: Lawrence Taylor. He was my fave non Cowboy growing up. We could of used him in the 80's.

I see to recall seeing him say that in an interview somewhere, or maybe I read it in a book...yeah that was it. I read it in Hell Bent where Bayless recalled the situation where they'd spent all that time at the Pro Bowl selling him on coming to Dallas and it was undone in one moment when he looked over and saw Switzer sitting on the bench eating a hotdog.

I think it's the NFL Films "The '95 Cowboys" show that also has a segment on this very topic, with interviews of both Spielmann and Moose Johnston, lamenting how close he was to signing with us considering how hard he was recruited at the Pro Bowl.

present: I would say Adrian Peterson too.

past: Dick Butkus (it would have been amazing to watch him play w/Lilly & Howley)

John Hannah would have fit in nicely.

RE: Spielman. We should never have let Ken Norton go.

Norton was pretty adamant about leaving no matter what. I think he always wanted to play for SF.

I'm going to have to say without a doubt, Keith Byars rb, Phila.
The man always tore up the Cowboys.

Present time, I always wanted Jon Kitna on the team.......whaddaya know...hello Jon, (you'll have to keep the bench warm til Romo is done.)
Nice to have ya on board.
