What team is meaningfully better yet?

Seattle gave up their best offensive lineman and a 1st round pick.

I don't see the improvement.

I don't see a lot of improvement in the Colts either. Some improvement-yeah. But not earth-shattering.

Could Seattle have gotten a TE with Graham's skills with that 1st? If not it's a win, IMO. Unger is a loss, no doubt but who knows if we didn't see the beginning of the end with Unger and his injury struggles last season. Tough to say.

The Colts are doing O.K. but I would agree that the improvements aren't earth shattering.

Honestly, I think the Jets have done the most over the past couple of days to improve their team. I don't think it makes them a shoe in for any post season success but it's hard to argue that they haven't improved their roster. Now, if they could just figure out that QB thingy...................................

Haven't read a convincing post yet that any team has significantly helped themselves.

Knee-jerking on a high adrenaline day like this is understandable, but not much has changed other than the implosion of Philly and San Fran.

Seriously. I see a lot of different, but not a lot of better.

Philly and San Fran are in free fall, but who's made themselves significantly better in terms of championship contention?
Tough to say. I'm not seeing all that many big moves by teams who were actually in the playoffs last year. Seeing a lot from teams like the Bills, Eagles and Dolphins. I think Jimmy Graham might be the biggest pickup for a playoff team.

I tell ya right now that among the non-playoff teams from last year, a team I think has gotten better and is going to have a solid 2015 is Houston.

Buffalo for one.

Why does everyone keep saying Philly is in freefall. They let some expensive offensive pieces go and replaced them with young talented defensive players. If we did that everyone would say we're genius.

They let go their best offensive players. They didn't simply drop a few over the hill players with huge contracts. If Chip Kelly doesn't get Mariota, then they are in trouble. You trade for an injury riddled qb, get rid of one of the better runningbacks in the league and get rid of your best wide receiver?

If we released Dez, traded Murray, downgraded at Qb and released one of our veteran defensive pass rushers, this board would collapse, please!

I may have cheated a little because I am looking at teams now compared to last season. And I think the Bills upgraded at Off Coord, Head Coach, RB, re-signed Hughes.

If we did what they did, and replaced the equivalent players the eagles did WITH who they did, this board would implode. Nearly immediately.

It might not be a specific team but I do respect the fact that the AFC East is tired of getting put through the wood-chipper by New England and adding some talent for once. Marshall, McCoy and Suh definitely can sway things in another direction.

They traded a RB who was going to ask for too much money for a young stud LBer. Also, a healthy Bradford is much better than Foles. I agree that it was a bad move because of the guaranteed money though. They did lose their best WR in Maclin. This is a strong draft for WR. And they added some good players on defense. Aside from a big risk on Bradford because of money and health issues, I wouldn't say they're in "free fall." I honestly don't follow Philly. People are saying how they're gonna go all in for Mariotta. I don't see why they would do that if they just took on all this money for Bradford though.

Until they find legit quarterbacks, it's all meaningless.

All good, but who plays QB?

Hello erod. You are also one of my faves!! Not being wise or sarcastic here, sir. But the question wasnt who may win the super bowl now, but who is meaningfully better than last season. With these additions, I have to believe that they are better than last year...and I think they even took a small step backward at QB when you compare Orton vs EJ Manuel and Matt Cassel. But even at that, I think they got better. Just my opinion. Who knows, they may go 4-12 next year.

With Brees possibly being shopped, they're are a few teams I feel have Super Bowl talent but lack the QB. The ones that come to mind are Buffalo, Houston and Arizona.
