What team is meaningfully better yet?

Haven't read a convincing post yet that any team has significantly helped themselves.

Knee-jerking on a high adrenaline day like this is understandable, but not much has changed other than the implosion of Philly and San Fran.

In the end, I suspect the Jags will be most improved . But terrible upgraded to semi-bad isn't saying to much.

Seattle

Lost Pro bowler Max Under,
Lost starting OG James Carpenter
Lost starting CB Byron Maxwell
Lost this years 1st round pick
Lost 8 mil in cap space

Added Graham
Added CC Cary Williams

I'm not sure it's clear that they are better off

The NFC still goes through Seattle, their defense is still solid, even though they lost Maxwell, but when you get a receiving threat like Graham, it only makes you that much better.

Yes but they lost two of their starting OL and do not have a 1st rounder. They didn't have a good OL in the first place. Graham will definitely help them but if Wilson doesn't have time then it will be wasted weapon.

Wilson didn't have time last year which is why he led the league in rushing for a QB and was a bonehead call away from another Super Bowl. Those guys are the front runners of the NFC.

People wrote us off in the off season. Look how that turned out.

Could Seattle have gotten a TE with Graham's skills with that 1st? If not it's a win, IMO. Unger is a loss, no doubt but who knows if we didn't see the beginning of the end with Unger and his injury struggles last season. Tough to say.

The Colts are doing O.K. but I would agree that the improvements aren't earth shattering.

Honestly, I think the Jets have done the most over the past couple of days to improve their team. I don't think it makes them a shoe in for any post season success but it's hard to argue that they haven't improved their roster. Now, if they could just figure out that QB thingy...................................

Yep, I agree on the Jets.

I agree and Im not convinced Seattle is that much improved with Graham. He was a by-product of one of the most prolific QBs on NFL history.

Sorry but Russell Wilson ain't no Drew Brees throwing the ball. Watch his fantasy numbers fall off a cliff next season.

Exactly.

And Seattle's Oline is worse than New Orleans...

I think they could sniff 8-8 depending on how Bortles developes. Which is a marked improvement.

Giants are ALWAYS a threat.

The only ones in our division to "get it done" in the past 20 years.

I really hope we get 50.

20 year anniversary.

Seriously. I see a lot of different, but not a lot of better.

Philly and San Fran are in free fall, but who's made themselves significantly better in terms of championship contention?

The Dolphins will contend for the AFC East with Suh

And you won't because you had your mind made up before you asked the question in the first place.

You would have been better off asking the question than at the end of your original post say...Don't bother answering the question as it was a rhetorical question.

Then you're simply lying to yourself to attempt to justify a failed argument.

And you can lie to yourself, but don't look for the rest of us to believe it.

That's nonsense. Teams have changed, but they haven't necessarily improved. They're losing as much as they're adding, except for the worst teams in football.
