What to do if Cooper Rush takes the Cowboys on a win streak?

It is hilarious as the Dak Prescott lovers merely provide a massively biased side of the story. They list his touchdowns and how many games the team has won yet that's it. No further detail.

Regarding last season...

Where did the Cowboys' opponents rank in pass defense?

How many good playoff calibre teams with a winning record did the Cowboys beat?

Where did the Cowboys' defense rank?

How many takeaways did the Cowboys D secure?

What was the average starting position of the Cowboys offense compared with that of other teams?

How many more possessions did the Cowboys offense have compared with orher teams?

How did Prescott specifically play against two good play off teams in the 49ers and Bills?

Rather than just bleating out 2nd team All Pro...please consider the above and the state of Prescott's performances this season...

Ok...the Cowboys are not playing the worst passing defenses any longer, the Cowboys D is not as good for various reasons resulting in less takeaways and poorer starting positions for the offense...in other words when Prescott isn't carried by others he isn't able to perform to an All Pro level.

Who knew?!

Well how did Prescott play in the two play off games on strong Cowboy teams against the 49ers? He had MULTIPLE opportunities to win both of those games and the opposing quarterbacks were Jimmy G and Mr Irrelevant respectively...yet he fell flat on his face and failed to execute the few more plays required to win even one of those games.

He wasn't good enough then and he certainly will not be good enough now after tearing his hamstring crawling for a 22 yard "rush".

Same thing I do if Dak leads the team on a winning streak.. Celebrate! I hate watching my team lose so this whole cheering for them to lose so we get a better draft pick aint in the cards for me. I'm cheering for Rush to win at least 3 out of the next 4 to keep us somewhat afloat.

I don’t think the Cowboys lose much-if-anything playing Rush in Dak’s stead. Dak had become gunshy and reticent to make downfield throws. Rush has confidence in the play but, while his throws appear more accurate, he seems to lack the arm strength to really drive a eeep out route. His protection will be spotty, his line apt to presnap penalties, and his receiver group thin outside of Ferguson. Add the fact that he can’t rely on a running gane to take pressure off of him AND an offensive scheme that is frequently bewildering… and all I can say is ‘Good luck.’ I consider Rush to be a very solid NFL backup QB but, at 30-y/o, with little-to-no upside.

Honestly, I’d rather start Trey Lance to see if there is ANY gold to be mined there. Anyway, it’s not like we’re going anywhere this season.

Couldn't agree more in riding with Cooper if there's a win streak.......but let's get logical. Maybe some will look at the many flaws on this team......now QB2 is going to be a miracle worker too? It would be a story book look, just not happening.....and I'm trying to be optimistic, just not irrational.
I'm not saying it would happen either. Just voicing what I'd LIKE to see. But there are intangibles to consider. If the team gave up on Dak to an extent, they may play harder with Rush in there, and a different game plan might be developed/called...changing things up.

Do I think it's going to happen? No. Do I think it's possible because it happened in the past? Yes.

I bet Dakota gets well sooner? Seriously though do you keep Cooper starting or bring Dak back in after he has healed on a win streak?
Well, the precedent has been set already. Cooper gets benched as soon as Dak can play again.

If Rush starts winning then I bench him for Lance. At this point I want the higher draft pick. We aren't making the playoffs this year. We need the highest draft pick possible to obtain as much draft capital as possible since our GM doesn't believe in dipping his toes in free agency. Too bad we don't have many older veterans with trade value. Zack Martin would be on the trading block. Demarcus Lawrence would be on the trading block if he were healthy. Donovan Wilson and Malik Hooker have been awful but maybe Dan Quinn has a soft spot for one of them and would float us draft pick.
Lol you are planning for the future. Have to wait another 5 years

This team wouldn't play harder for Cooper.....they can't play harder for themselves. There is talent deprivation.....T-A-L-E-N-T. Thanks Jerry.

Nothing, they have committed too much $$$ to Dak to move on from him at least until he's toward the end of his contract. At that point Rush will be a distant memory

If the o line starts blocking better then this team has a whole set of different problems than we thought.

Posts like this are why Cowboys fans are helpless. The Dallas bottomfeeders are going on a winning streak against the Eagles, Texans, and Commanders? Hell no.

It wouldn’t surprise me one bit. The team plays different when Cooper is under center. Sometimes you need that old fashioned play to win football games. All aboard Cooper “The Rush” Rush!
Another low brow post from the worst poster on this board. Lee Blair has been surpassed.
