This is not a shot at Diggs as it doesn't even seem right to me that he's given up the most yardage. I don't know how you can accomplish that without it being painfully obvious on the field. He doesn't seem to me like a completion waiting to happen. Not at all.

But it's unacceptable to give up the most yards.

11 interceptions is also undeniable. That is special.

It's the oddest year I've seen from a Cowboy and I honestly don't know how to feel about it.

Diggs is an Everson Walls clone. Great ball skills, but will give up a number of plays, especially on crossing routes and double moves.

I knew you'd say that lol

Anyways, he's gave up the most yards of anybody this year, that's bad, but he's also got 11 INTs, that's good.

I don't suggest taking anything away. He has done what he has done. He's on the extreme of both sides.
Not really though. The defense is ranked 7th in points allowed. So all of his INTs (ranked 1st) and passes defended (ranked 2nd) paint a more accurate picture.

I’m ok with it. Takeaways win games. We could have another Byron Jones who gives up the occasional play, but the 0 picks.

Byron Jones had no ball hawk skills at all. It was like he was playing with a straight jacket on.

Honestly I think it's good, when they said he had given up the most yards I was honestly surprised which probably means it wasn't in big moments and/or it didn't lose us a game, but the INTs are definitely game changing/winning.

So you're saying CONTEXT matters?

Yeah, I don’t trust their numbers either. He has given up some plays but you would think teams we’re destroying based off the supposed yards given up metric.

Also, if you look at his other peripherals he has good numbers (ex. comp. % against comes to mind).

In year 2. Skies the limit. He shut down McLaqurin twice. moves all over the field. Most yards allowed because he's young, learning nuances and taking more chances.

2 things that help.. 1. a good safety.. He can help with the over.
but the biggest thing that helps... (note that his weakness is the double move.) Effective blitz attack! The receivers do not have time to double move. It's jet out and throw. So now it's just you and Diggs.. and Diggs will come down with it. I love it!

It’s a combo of gambling on his part, great throws and HORRIBLE FS play. Kazee should’ve been on Diggs’ naughty list. He does Diggs no favors back there.

I'm not too concerned about yards given up. How many scores has he given up? That's the bottom line. If he's given up anywhere near 11TDS okay that's something to discuss. But I believe he's only given up 2-3 TDs. I'll take that. Same for the defense, how many points are given up? If you allow a 99yrd drive that ends in a fg or a TO it doesn't really matter about yards because very little or nothing was given up.

I think he went through a period there where he was a bit feast or famine, trying to make the big plays and they were getting him with some double-moves. It seems like he's been a lot more solid in his coverage since then, not just making the interception. Of course, some of it with all our DBs is the pressure that our line is getting. It's easier to not make many mistakes with the QB is under duress.

Throwing at Diggs is like going to the Casino. You might win or you might lose all your money.
And that is kinda what Tom Landry said about Everson Walls.......he gives some up, but he takes some away....Cubby was his nick I beleive

Like I said before the Season started.......Kelvin Joseph will Ultimately be the better overall CB.

I've watched Diggs play locally (DMV). Most people who've watched Diggs an average WR are pleasantly surprised by the CB playmaking ability.

Diggs is not a natural CB. He just probably the best since Deion Sanders in playing the ball in the Air.

Diggs can probably win a Dunk Contest but will never take the last shot or guard the best opposite player.
