"Moonlighting"
MASH and Cheers
That is so sad. And pretty funny when you think about it. Do me a favor. Next time you run into someone who skipped history class, ask them to compare MASH with China Beach. That should prove interesting.I've had to correct many in my generation (late gen x/early millenials) who falsley assume it involved the era of the Vietnam War The Korean "conflict" and the Vietnam War really weren't stressed in public education and still aren't for various reasons.

The confusion happens because the subtext of the movie was about the Vietnam War even though it was set during the Korean Conflict.
Saw this today on theChive and it made me think of this thread...
Hahaha, I had a similar visual reference come to mind from a sketch show regarding the old "Battlestar Gallactica" series.
"Portlandia" on IFC:
LMAO! I can't breathe!
Are the Portlandia episodes as funny as this clip? I've never watched the show.
As a BSG fan, I know one thing missing from the clip. She should have said FRAG IT when the lights were turned off.
Lost
The Shield
Heroes (I think it is coming back though)
Seinfeld (that Curb Your Enthusiasm season left me wanting more)
The show is very original and hilarious (consistently in my opinion) as seen in that clip. Gets good ratings from critics but is on IFC so not a broad audience. They have 3 seasons completed and are up for a 4th I believe, so it has enjoyed some moderate success but more of a cult following similar to "Delocated". It's on Netlfix too btw.
Below is a more eclectic display of their skits and some of my faves from the show:
