What vehicle do you drive and do you like it?

That said, I would never buy one myself. I prefer vehicles where you can get service done no matter where you are.

I'd just rather have a vehicle where I'm less likely to need that level of support. lol

When I bought the Ram, it came with free oil changes and tire rotations along with a great warranty. I can take it to any Dodge/Chrysler or Jeep dealership across the country for service. In most cases, they wash and detail it before returning. If I need a loaner, no problem

Agree that Audi stands above both BMW and Mercedes.. in both quality and comfort. My wife has a GL 450 and the airnatic system is crap... multiple components breakdown so they can charge you $2k each time... my son drives a BMW... their interior is so generic you might as well be driving a 2010 Honda. I just bought my youngest son a new kia soul and it's interior is more luxurious than the BMW. Despite the Kias crappy engine (which is perfect for a 15 year old driver) the Kia is a very comfortable ride.

My wife has a 2008 Kia Rio... It's just a putt-putt car that she puts about a 1,000 miles a year on.

It's just a nice little vehicle.

I've looked at the Kia Optima and I like it. When I no longer can get a Ford Fusion, that may well be the next choice.

Oh I agree .. that's why I created this thread .. I want to see which vehicles people have and if they like them because people who like their cars usually have not had many issues with them.

My DD is a 2015 Mercedes C350 Coupe, no issues as of yet, my weekend car is a 2010 Corvette ZR1,awesome car but
GM's customer service (Chevy) is pathetic, they are good at fixing issues but ridiculous with their loaner car policy.
Cadillac and Mercedes usually give a comparable or better model loaner. Dodge would always give a loaner when
I would bring in the Viper (A GT Cruiser) crappy car but at least they gave me something!

my brother loves mercedes. he's gone through a lot of the used 4 doors and recently went ahead and got a used SUV. only the dealership he bought it from was on the news a few weeks later, getting arrested. while none of that was his fault or the cars, mercedes would NOT talk to him about repairs it needed (recall repairs) until he could verify it was his. by the time all the paperwork got done, merc just won't talk to him about the issue at all now. something to do with the cams and being bad in that model.

now he's stuck with it and has to try and find a way to fix it on his own. it will wind up costing him more than the SUV itself i would imagine.

i was looking for grins at an entry maserati. the ghibli. however in looking i noticed much of the interior i already have in my 300S since fiat owns both. also, a new ghibli will be around $80k and worth less than 1/2 of that in 3 years. i wouldn't want to eat the entire price of a nice car in 3 years just for the honor of driving something i more or less already have.

For me, vehicle reliability is the most important factor. As @MichaelWinicki pointed out, I would rather have a vehicle that rarely needs repairs that I can count on every day than one that may have to be put in the shop on any given day no matter the looks and features.

Which is why I only lease luxury cars and buy non-luxury cars. As long as they are under their lease, all repairs are covered.

i've kept my 300S. while i did buy it new, i got $10k trade on my 06 magnum and they were anxious to sell. expensive but i got the best deal i could and really loved the car. don't see myself going "new" again given how much you lose in the first few years regardless. i could buy mine today for around 1/2 of what i paid. but i got the 8 year warranty on it so i'm set regardless.

beyond that i see people paying a LOT for these cars and eating the depreciation. i don't get it but their money. i just see $90k+ land rovers always nagging with problems. jaguars the same. not many euro cars are worth buying new these days.

my 300s (hemi version) has only been in once to chrysler and that was to change out the seat belt when it got stuck for some reason and wouldn't recoil itself. outside that, prepare to pay for tires and you're good.

I've had a little bit of everything in the last 12 years. About 12 different cars, trucks and jeeps. I have had a couple I regretted buying and selling but I always go back to Honda or Subaru for cars and Toyota's for trucks.

I don't get it either.

A many of those same folks will complain about the cost of things but will gladly take a $20K loss on a vehicle due to depreciation and not thinking anything of it.

Been driving F150's for twenty years. Drive it for ten years and trade it in. I'd probably still be driving my first one but the rust gets to the rocker panels and the cab corners.

My current one has the aluminum body so maybe the rust won't kill it after only ten years.

The current generation 5.0L motor mated to the ten speed trans is a rocket by truck standards and is getting 18+ mpg daily driving and 22+ on a trip.

My wife drives a 2013 Escape. I really like that too. I hated the Forester and the Rav4 we went through previously. Major problems with both and they were both dogs.

The turbocharged Escape is as fun a small SUV as I've ever driven.

Cadillac 2016 SRX, total black out. Had a 2012 previously and liked it enough to get another and 2016 was the last year for this body design that I fell in love with the first time I saw it. Not a big SUV fan until I saw this one with the sharp angles. I'd had a Lexus RX and never saw anyone in one in Dallas but soccer moms and old people and me.

I had a 530i that looked a lot better than it was. Not a BMW fan. I would have to say Lexus is the best car I've ever had and had the RX 330, ES 330 and LS 400 and they were all very good vehicles with really sweet rides.

Mine is the only one like it in this area which was the first appeal to me until I realized I have to be on my best behavior and no single finger waves and honking at slow old people stopping to turn so they don't roll over at 3mph.

2016 Focus ST. It is a fun grocery getter. I like driving a manual turbo. The turbo is small enough to kick in early, so you actually get to enjoy it when driving daily. I really like it. I only have 15k miles on it, so I don't get to drive it as much as I would like. I only had 1 minor issue where a sensor went out, and it was covered under warranty.

That's why leasing is attractive at that price point. Drive it under warranty and give it back right around when the warranty expires.

I just gave my grandson my 2006 Toyota Rav4 Liimited V6 with 280,000 mile on it. still drives and looks great. I had it painted for him before I gave it to him. Looks brand new. .

I drive a 2016 Honda Accord V6- I enjoy driving it, I just hate getting out of it. I am used to SUVs.
The wife drives a 2016 Toyota Highlander Limited. She loves it. It is fine and there is nothing wrong with it but I prefer driving my Honda.
