It almost looked like they were hoping for a PI penalty on that play?

So its Moores fault the defense let them drive right down the field for a FG? :lmao::lmao:

Pretty sure the defense just got a turnover and stopped them. Really dumb take to protect your girlfriend

It was terrible call and play, one of the worst i've ever seen

Yeah terrible call. You HAVE to run it there and take their last TO. It’s ballsy and everyone applauds it if it works but single call changed the outcome of the game from a w to an L
I don't think we have to run it but better yet, let's do an option based off Dak sees. Let's get him moving in space. If the run is there, Dak runs. We send on WR on a go route to see if something breaks down. Send one guy a streaking around 10 yards and a guy closer as the dump off. If the pass is there, great. If not, we still keep the clock running. Sending three guys long is just dumb. Moore does not understand situational football.

Calling that pass there was moronic. Throwing the pass when you saw the coverage instead of just taking the sack was just as bad. You just can't do that in the NFL. The clock is your biggest ally. Football 101 escapes this team

No..You have to throw on second and third down and win the game
I don't mond the pass, but you don't have to throw a 3 receivers deep, no crossing, no check down option play. This play reeked of Garrett's ridiculous offense. Just a stupid play call. If Brown stops at the first down marker, it's game over.

Correct!

Yet, it's lazy for Dak haters to blame this on Dak instead of the one responsible for such terrible pass route designs (Kellen Moore). Now one can see the dilemma for our QB and passing attack: terrible route designs do not help our receivers get open at all. No excuse for being dead last in separation in the entire NFL.
The Cowboys know this too. That is why they went out and got TY and pressed on OBJ.

Gallup is not what he was and Brown is a 4 or 5 in most other offenses. Find another wr on the team worth a damn(besides Ceedee), good luck.

If I'm not mistaken they got in FG range and still manage to stop the clock after review, and was rewarded back that TO. I'm not 100% sure. I just didn't like play design of our last play.

They also got 4 seconds put back on the clock. They were down to 8 seconds and went to 12.

We call a run play or a reasonable pass on 3rd and we win.

We stop Engram in bounds and we win.

We had all sorts of opportunities

Fat Mike after the game should have said, I will take it from here, because an early exit is his head.

It's really simple to me, KM is saying his best situational play was a 50/50 ball to a WR that is probably 4th on many teams' depth charts. I know some will disagree but I will say it again,
I find it hard to believe Dak agreed with the play when it was called. The game is on the line, you have Jags just where you want them. I would have loved to see him take a little more control here and call a timeout to get a better play. Sean Payton once admitted he could not count the times' Drew Brees saved his _____ from a bad play called by changing it or calling a timeout.

Would like to see how Noah's man lined up. If he he started the play that far off Brown, Dak should have audibled a comeback route for Brown.
It was there for the taking once the play progressed, but I don't know how obvious it was presnap.
Really should have been an option for all of them. We need 10 yards and want a high percentage uncontested pass. Hard to get those running fly patterns. But it happens on comebacks all the time.

This is my point, in this case, I just think Dak should have taken a little more ownership of a bad play from his OC. Call time and make it's the right play the OC wanna call or make his case for a better play.

I agree. We have a great chance of winning this game if we run the ball 3 times and punt.

It was MCCarthy’s decision to pass the ball. Really really dumb decision!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It was a calculated risk to go for the win. I can get behind that. What I can’t support is that idiotic play call.

Big Mac even tried to justify it by saying you have two choices there:

Be aggressive and go win the game or be conservative and try to run out the clock, which is a false dichotomy.

You are winning the game at that point and by running out the clock and making them burn their last TO you are increasing your chances of securing that win.

Terrible decision by all of them, just shows how their false bravado brings on costly mistakes again.
What Mike is saying is the same as many posters have repeatedly said over the years. You play to win the game, not lose it. They love aggressiveness often justifying it with analytics.

Running the ball, not stopping the clock and punting doesn’t guarantee they win. After all, the punt could be blocked, the returner could run it back for a TD, any number of things.

But the same things are possible after that stupid gift to let Jacksonville keep their timeout. The difference was a compromised defense had to defend more options and for more time. It was just a horrible decision by coaching and QB to call that play and throw that pass.

Maybe, but I’d put it more on McCarthy. He is the head coach and has to set the agenda. And maybe he did and that play was the result. If so, it validates Aaron Rodgers critique.

Km draws up 80% plays, he clearly needs help with the fine details to make them work a little better. And yes he should have called a fake to zeke and thrown the ball or have dak run on 2nd down. Having said that what he did worked, brown was open enough that the ball hit his arms and chest. It wasn't perfect but Brown should have caught that pass and the boys likely win that game. Km needs to not hold anything back the rest of the games. No saving anything for the playoffs. And these wide receivers need to play much angrier than they have, attack the ball like Dez used to. They lack that dog mentality, they are way too happy to be failures.

Romosexuals don't like to remember that Beas was wide open for the 1st to keep the drive going and burn the clock not allowing Rodgers a last shot. But then and today their chant is the same: Is the defense fault.
No he wasn't.
