So its Moores fault the defense let them drive right down the field for a FG? :lmao::lmao:
No. But it was Moore’s fault on that play design.

It looked like play:
“Everyone run downfield and curve very slightly left at roughly the same time.”

The smart thing there is to have routes that can get you the first down…. And if not you slide and take a sack. It’s quite simple actually. Go for the win…. And if you can’t get it you do the second best thing (make the jags use last timeout)

Seriously starting to think our coordinators on both sides of the ball are more interested in the splash plays to make themselves look good. Instead of worrying about winning games

More was trying to get a first down. So its Moores fault that Gallup is covered?

Of course you'd like your receivers to get open but throwing deep is a low percentage play or team would do it every down. Why no underneath routes so they can't triple team Lamb?

The point is, why take a chance. Why not just run or call I higher percentage pass play where Dak can choose to run if no one is open? Ensure that the Jags have no time outs. It makes it much harder for the Jags to get up the field with no timeouts.

But that was only 1 of a bunch of mistakes the Cowboys made in that final 1:30. The bad punt. The two opportunities to tackle Jags receivers in bounds, the 19 yard pass to Jones on 3rd down to put them in FG range. Then they capped it off with Noah Brown's drop into the hands of he Jags DB.

They had 5 seconds left when they called their final time out. That's on Moore. The timeout should've been gone. Yeah everyone crapped the bed, but Moore could've prevented a lot of that by making a decent call on 3rd.

Moore: Let me see, we need 10 yards. Hey Dak, let's throw a 51 yard pass.

Dak: Coach, all we need is ten!

Moore: They don't believe in you Dak!

Dak: Alright, Red Robin 390 blue on two.

Result, incomplete pass out of bounds. Now comes the butt slapping and fist bumping, we got this.

In that situation, they only needed ten yards. Coaches and players alike, need to know, down and distance, where they are on the field, time management, and playcalling. None of this was on display. At times, this team plays football like it's a neighborhood street game.

I dont think situational foot ball is KMs forte,

there was not one WR / TE in the yard line for 1st down, even the 1st down wasn’t important, either sure catch and run or swallow the ball and take a sack or run are the only options .

Don't argue with that fool.....you are right. Worse case? Run it and make them take their last TO.

who said throwing deep was the first option?

with less time jags would have called different plays.

Sure, but it's difficult to do when we are covering the boundaries etc.

You're right in that we can't know. I'm right in that we SHOULDN'T have handed them a TO. It was moronic.

There is no sane argument for allowing the Jags to keep that damn time out. They did the same thing last year in the opener at Tampa.. They had the ball first and 10 already in FG range.. Three runs.. even if you don't gain an inch eats all three of their time outs. Kick the FG and leave them 30-35 seconds to get into position to beat you. It took them over a minute to do so and the time out allowed them the ability to use the whole field instead of just the sidelines. Instead we ran FOR FIVE YARDS on first down then passed twice. One of which was incomplete and saved them a timeout. We know how that turned out. To have the exact same scenario staring our coaching staff in the face and for them to make the exact same STUPID decision not to play the percentages and make sure the opponent has ZERO time outs and under a minute left to beat you makes me sad because it confirms that they don't learn. And if they aren't going to learn this team isn't winning anything. They don't have enough talent to overcome bad coaching against good teams. Which is all you're going to see in the playoffs.

I expect KM and MM to cost us a couple games a season by making critical mental errors at the worst times. This was one of them.
