I don't think we'll hear anything until the official injury report comes out... and then he'll likely be questionable... so we still won't know much.

That's football for ya.
Yeah, hasn't Ellis been listed day-to-day now for the whole preseason with no appreciable change in his situation (as far as participation in practices goes)?

Thanks guys.

As I said, I read some of the threads and although we have Newman out already all the way thru the first 3 games, which could happen, I just hadn't read anything official.

I read also that someone stated that we shouldn't play a CB if they are only at 70%. But understand, I would rather have Newman at 70% as opposed to our backups. As long as it doesn't hurt Newman in the long run.

Frankly-I'm glad the Jones family/Wade/TNew do not read these cockamania threads here sometimes.

Dude-let's all take a chill pill and relax 'till 9/09. We don't know what the future holds, period.

I have read alot of the threads from the "sky is falling" to "everything is OK".

Has there been any official word from Newman or the Cowboys?

yes, they said if we create a least a dozen new threads a day he'll be just fine. thanks for helping out here.

Because there aren't enough Newman threads yet...

Let's discuss the option of amputating. To some it may seem drastic, to others... it may just be the answer we're all looking for.

It would fix his current injury, however we would need to amputate his other foot just so he didn't run in circles.

Either that or he'll have to cover nothing but Wheel Routes for us.

I say since Gramatica has a bad leg (hamstring) we do a leg transplant for Newman. remove Gramatica's good leg and Transplant it onto Newman to replace his injured foot.

That way we save a roster spot as well, Newman is starting cb as well as kicker. :lmao:

Overcome with despair, upon seeing another Newman thread, this time with "Amputation" in the title, I cut my own head off.

I post now from beyond the grave, otherwise known as Des Moines.

Amputation? Are you crazy? For a plantar Fascia tear?

That's just plain silly.

We should be able to get by if we simply sand off the lower 1/2 of his foot and cauterize the wound. Then... if he's gellin'... he should be okay to play every third game this season.

From the neck down. Only way it'll take. I'll call my arm and leg specialist, Dr. Stump.

You sir, are a genius.

I wonder if our training staff knows about this.

Heck, while we're at it can we surgically implant these on Glenn so he can actually cover anyone over 5' 8"?

There wouldn't be an extra point or conversion successful. I think you may be on to something............
