Frankly-we could clone T-New 5 X's out there, but if Romo/OLine plays shoddy, we'll be 9-7 either way.
Look at Indy last year-they lost their 2 DTs, Mike Doss, and Bob Sanders was hobbling through most of the year, but they nonetheless had one of the best OLs in football, and Peyton started stepping up and leading this team to more pts.
True if Newman can't go then others both offense and defense have to pick up the slack. However with 12 days to go before the start of the season Newman still has time to rest this injury and it should be left up to him and the trainers if he can play or not. Only Newman will be able to tell how much he can tolerate, I know some guys who can't handle pain at all and I know some guys who handle it quite well. Each one of us is different
