What will happen if T-New cant go? *Bunch of Merged Newman Threads*

Again-I'm surprised None of these Zoners aren't starting any "Will Romo and the O-Line step up to the plate Consistently this season?" threads.

Frankly-we could clone T-New 5 X's out there, but if Romo/OLine plays shoddy, we'll be 9-7 either way.

Look at Indy last year-they lost their 2 DTs, Mike Doss, and Bob Sanders was hobbling through most of the year, but they nonetheless had one of the best OLs in football, and Peyton started stepping up and leading this team to more pts.

True if Newman can't go then others both offense and defense have to pick up the slack. However with 12 days to go before the start of the season Newman still has time to rest this injury and it should be left up to him and the trainers if he can play or not. Only Newman will be able to tell how much he can tolerate, I know some guys who can't handle pain at all and I know some guys who handle it quite well. Each one of us is different

Why is everyone worried about Tnew starting the season!?

From his mouth..."If they say I can play, I will play. If they say I cannot play, I will play." (parphraseing)...

:bang2: And if he cannot play at all? Well **** happens in this game of football...if you lose one great player and go down the tubes, then you are not a good team to start with. One man does not make a team...

Lets give Deion a shout.lol.

That would be a good idea, but we are not the RedStinks...

Besides, Deion stubbed his other toe walking up to a mic, so now instead of 9 toes, he's 8 toes!

You know...the RedStinks gave him 6 mil plus to pay for one year!

What will really happen during the giants game if he cant go?...will we suffer watching AG get man handled out there? Will we see a repeat of the parcells era? will Wade have to call off the dogs..cause AG and everyone else will get abused and treated like rented mules? so therefore we will see no pass rush?

I 4 one hope to god...even if AG starts, once we get inside the 20 just take him out and put like Alan ball, or Thomas on the outside receiver...i wont be able to watch him get out jumped, or called for a PI...and then have that stupid expression he always has after a PI

I know Henry will hold his own....but i wont be able to watch Roy Williams back there at safety....trying to help AG....for another Commanders/Santana Moss part 2

AG prove me wrong if T-New Cant go:pray:
If Newman cant go at all.......we will have to make some adjustments.

First, we are going to have to call the dogs off somewhat. I am not talking about Zimmy Cover 2 crap, I am just saying that we will have to pick and chose our blitzes more carefully.

Secondly, the offense is going to need to step up and help the defense out. If the other team is in catch up mode or is forced to pass to "keep up", then the D will look alot better.

Third, do alot of praying.

Basically, there is no way to replace Newman just like the Broncos could not replace Champ Bailey. This is not Madden, you dont have first rounders backing up first rounders.

Look on the bright side, the G-men arent exactly the greatest show on turf. We could probably play without Newman and still beat them, same goes for Miami in week 2 and even the Bears in week 3 if I remember the schedule correctly.:)

Isn't there alot of parady going on the NFL?

Really-how often do you see teams with subpar records beat up on good teams? And how often do you see teams with long injury lists go out and keep winning, despite what the pundits think?

I WOULDN'T take these teams lightly. However, assuming TNew won't play, these teams SHOULDN'T take us lightly either.

Why is everyone scared of Ag?...So He's short and gets beat. They all get beat every now and then.

From what I recall, AG holds His own unless it's against Big Wr like Plaxico...IN that situation put someone else like You said. But he isnt that bad, He had some good games last year.

IMO if there is enough PAss rush We'll fine if there isnt then We're toast..Weather Newman or baily are covering.

If WAde cant fix our lack of pass rush...We're toast, end of story.

If i remember correctly...During the Bronco's game he said he was alright, and he could go today if the season started....

What happened after that? how did it get so big? i don't remember reading that he did further damage to it.

He hasn't practiced since the Broncos scrimmages, no.

Frankly-I think he'll be OK for the opener, and I think he'll be effectively.

However-if it were up to me, just for precaution, rest him throughout Sept, b/c our Oct and on schedule starts to get tougher.

True-however, I'd take even 2-3 games without Newman than an ENTIRE season without Flo or Ellis.

All we can say is it happens-and quite frankly, even with Newman out, we're one of the most healthiest teams to survive this preseason. I'll take it.:)
