Like most of yall, I loved it back in the day when it was the weekend draft.

Now days I will catch the 1st round on Thursday night and DVR the rest.

As much as I love the draft.
The experience is usually a bit of a letdown following the months of hype.
It's still fun though.

My wife knows that I'll be dialed into the tube with some buddies--probably grilling jerk chicken and/or steaks and sausages. Plenty of cold beverages.

As always, I'll DVR both shows on TV and we may have the Ticket on the radio as well.

It was easy when it was just Saturday and Sunday and my wife or even any of my ex girlfriends back in the day would know I will be unreachable for two days. Now we have to get more creative. I will be taking off Friday to make a weekend out of the draft. Will have my draft info laid out and on the laptop. Will be down at the Jersey Shore sitting at our tiki bar watching. Probably with some seafood and/or pizza from the area and plenty to drink. I am slowly turning a Jet fan friend of mine into a draftnik. He will be there watching too. Last year was the first time he understood why I watch the entire draft every year. Obviously a good amount of people on this board get very into the draft but for fans that don't pay attention to the process (college games, senior bowl practices and game, east west shrine, combine and school pro day workouts, reading every draft expert or wannabe expert you can find) and do some of your own homework are missing out on my favorite time of year. I love it when you have your own list of players and the draft is winding down. And you still know who will probably get snatched up in the compensatory picks because there are still guys available that you have watched and read up on. People will ask us how can you watch past the first round? I always say well if I were you and only knew ten players in this draft I wouldn't watch it all either! I don't always love our teams picks. But I love the draft. Just start the darn thing already!!!

I take Friday off, make a mock draft with a couple buddies, and turn every pick we get wrong into a drinking game.. We tend to go through a lot of beers..

Schedule my work around the Draft for 3 days (a pain in the assets) celebrate with a close draft buddy, some surf-n-turf, other great foods and a variation of iconic brew as well... responsibly enjoy a couple of Patron, Cointreua and fresh Lime Ritas....that's about it, nothing to write home and nothing complain about.

GO Cowboys!

I'll watch the first day with a handful of my buddies (all Pats fans eewww), enjoying vodka/and beers. And as much red meat as I can get my hands on. The ensuing days I will watch alone, drink less and probably eat more.

Will be in my war room. Right here on CZ-at desk 37" computer screen, 48 " TV 4 ft away. Lots of munchjies, pizza Chinese whatever. Lots of cold water, coffee too. I'm a health nut no booze. Crazy enough without it. Looking to see the continuation of the offensive line being built.

Love to hear the fam's opinion of that

That I have a terrific life? they share it with me so I am sure their opinion wouldn't differ much (if at all)....if you are talking about the draft, my wife understands...she is not a sports fan, but she knows I love it...I will be on the 47" flat screen watching it in my man-cave...she will have full access to the living room TV where she can watch whatever she likes...my daughter could care less since she will be busy studying for finals (2nd year in college)

Are you some type of idiot? Does it make your day to blatantly insult people? You know NOTHING about me...perhaps when you get out of middle school, get married, divorced, married again, divorced, and then re-married a 3rd time, you can start to talk to me about things like this...until then, try to get through 10th grade first, k chumly?

you must REALLY have a crappy life...I will say a prayer for you that you stop coming up with reasons to hate life

I don't think there is such thing as draft day, for fans at least, anymore. There is draft evening I guess.

Oh, the usual. A belly dancer, snacks, a punk-socialist poetry reading and hookah. Beer and some player lists on the table.
It used to be nachos and beer and that is it but I thot to myself "Gimme, you half to expand your horrizons and stuff," so now I invite the neighbors who look nervously arround, and the boys from the halfway house. It will be a grand time at Gimmes and all is invited.

As someone once said "We either make ourselves miserable or we make ourselves happy. The amount of work is the same."

A wiser person once said "It is the foolish man who thinks he makes his wife happy by letting her have the remote all to herself"

Stuck at work like I have been the last three years. It's miserable. Maybe I'll just mysteriously catch a virus that day.
