Of course it would be the obvious robotic quotes about him "oh he's a great quarterback, he's been great for years, he's a leader, I like what I see in him, and we think he can get us a ring!" To Cowboys fans we don't see that necessarily, but we're not the coach that's being hired either. What do you think they honestly see in the QB they're forced to have lead their team?

Be honest, keep it clean! Please give your thoughts
Our new head coach after realizing Jerry is firm on Keeping Dak as QB1............. :muttley:

Any coach is going to have to love Qak or he won't get the job. At least he has to mouth the words no matter what he really feels.

Whoever PT Booger hires he'll claim this is the guy we wanted all along. Works the same as the draft whoever a team drafts that's the guy they wanted all along. And the fans buy it.

We know better but we want to believe too.

I know what I would think but I'm going to leave it alone. I'm afraid a certain person will get so mad he will have an aneurysm in his brain.
And we all know who that might be................... :muttley:

For those that think and say no coach will come here to coach under Jerry, you are fooling yourself. Maybe it is another way to vent against him.

There are 32 HC position in the NFL. If one has the chance to take it, if it fits what they want to do. They will take it if offered. PERIOD.
None of this, well Jerry hired this guy, because the others would never work for him.
Another urban legend and myth.
The reason Jerry does not pay his head coach a comparatively high salary is because he hires head coaches that do not have competing offers. Of course someone will take the job. Not someone that has an offer from another NFL team.

So a possible HC would go to Jacksonville over Dallas?
I don't think so. As the life expectancy of a HC in Jacksonville is what, 2 years. In Dallas they know they will be here for 5 years.

Unless that HC wants a money grab. Go to Jacksonville, sign a 5 years contract. Get fired after 2 years. Then take the next 3 years off.
Come to Jerry Sinking World. Work for 5 years in hope that some day a miracle will happen and they put together a good team.

I could see possible HC candidates turning down Jerry, unless their demand, written in the contract is met.

Honestly looking at it from his contract and play. you would be happy. because your going to get a Prime Dak (When Healthy) and there is basically an out in the contract in 3 years (this year + 2) So you literally can see how he does coming back from the injury, you get to draft YOUR GUY this year (Round 2 - 6) and let him sit and learn. and hopefully Dak can bounce back, but if he does not you have your next QB hopefully if you do it right waiting in the wings.

Yes. Any legitimate head coaching candidate would prefer the more traditional FO hierarchy of Jacksonville than working with the parameters that come with the Dallas franchise.

A top priced QB with some longstanding weaknesses come the playoffs coming of half a season just as bad and with a season ending injury.

Lowest perceived value of his career but he *has* played well in most of the past.

Dak is not the worst QB situation in the league but I'd consider it a negative that should keep top coaching talent away.
