What would a new incoming coach feel about Dak Prescott?

Feel nothing, only ask what's the quickest way to trade Dak.

Draft a 1st RD QB, bench Dak and announce it very early, Dak will beg for a trade sooner or later and some possibilities might come into play.

Need a new GM first, followed by a new Coaching staff and a new QB.

Team needs new faces and Jerry is just getting in the way slowing it all down.
I am not sure anyone would want the highest paid QB who is injury prone, pocket QB who has accuracy issues.

what is any coach who thinks about any players.

trhe question is, why do our fans know the truth but still play the fantasy game.

GM, Owner, HC Jerry Jones has the team right where he wants it. Any HC coming here will be told, no succcess. None.

Why do the fans not accept this?

A new coach would be happy to have Dak. He has proven he is a capable starter, and in years when he’s had weapons and a little blocking, he has been very good. Any head coach would at least think he can get Dak over the playoff hump with a better defense and some kind of run game. Most head coaches end up on bad teams with bad, unproven QBs or a rookie draft pick. Coaches don’t want that because by the time they get a QB or groom one, it’s usually another coach taking over.

Of course it would be the obvious robotic quotes about him "oh he's a great quarterback, he's been great for years, he's a leader, I like what I see in him, and we think he can get us a ring!" To Cowboys fans we don't see that necessarily, but we're not the coach that's being hired either. What do you think they honestly see in the QB they're forced to have lead their team?

Be honest, keep it clean! Please give your thoughts
You would never truly know as they would be positive and supportive.

What they think really doesnt matter, with a $240 million dollar contract almost all guaranteed, the reality of the situation is that Dak is here for the long term.

For anybody that interviews for the Cowboys head coaching position, they will understand that Dak will be their QB period, end of discussion. So there is really nothing to debate here.

I would imagine that almost any coach we bring in would be able to honestly say, looking in the mirror, “I can make this work”.

We crap on Dak but the state of the league still shows that teams with even an average QB consider themselves lucky.

Dak was great when he ran the ball. He has always had a problem with accuracy but his legs made up for it plus it calmed him down. He doesn’t run now because he is injury prone so he lost edge. We should have not paid him. His is past his prime. Another poor decision paying him.

He'd quickly realize that even Mo Claiborne's football IQ is higher than that of the 60 million dollar quarterback.

Jerry does not like hiring coaches that have as big and outgoing presence as him. Takes too much of the spotlight.

Likely true however there’s time throughout his tenure that hasn’t been true like parcells like Switzer etc

imagine playing with Cooper, Lamb and a healthy Gallup, a dominant Zach Martin, Zeke with strong legs still and a fresh Pollard, with a top ranked To defense, while playing in the worst division in football that got that HF advantage and acting like Jerry didn’t do enough for Dak who in every playoff game basically was losing by halftime and playing from behind, because Dak threw the ball to the opposing defenses in Cowboys territory.

Cooper Rush was also 5-1 before this year..

You mean like any QB. Dak has proven that if he was on a bad franchise from the beginning, he’d be riding the pine somewhere. The offense was changed once again for him just last year, because he led the league in picks in 10 games.
