Raiders, Seahawks, giants, all it takes is one team. You can think dak sucks and still be rational to know that he still has enough potential to trick a team into thinking he can be elite.
Not about that. It's about how a team can afford to pay him 60 mil/per. Gnats paid Jones, so forget that. Gino Smith is under contract for 25 mil/er thru the 2025 season, so they're out.

So, you actually think the Raiders would pay him huge money? Since there'd be no one bidding against them, why would they pay him 60? I could see around 40 being offered, possibly.

Error? Yes...is he going anywhere, anytime soon? No. This horse has been beaten to death many times. He's still dead and will stay dead. What's the point of beating him anymore.....
IDK, what's the point of declaring "What's the point?"

The point is, I want to know why you keep beating a dead horse. Not like you're gonna revive him...learn from the past, but at what point do we stop reliving it? Got it?

The Seahawks save themselves 25 million dollars if they release geno smith next off season

Jerry would probably pay him even more thinking it would motivate him to play better

Pretty much all we do around here is beat dead horses. Nature of a fansite. At what point do you stop being bothered by people repeating themselves?

He would still get a massive contract extension. It’s one thing to think the cowboys shouldn’t have paid him but someone easily would have. NFL franchises are ran by competent people not fans who are fanatical and impulsive. Some franchise would have absolutely paid him a market setting deal close to or at what the cowboys did.
Like the competent people that cut Baker Mayfield, gave up 3 1st rd picks to the Texans and paid D Watson 5 years 230 million?

Dak should demand a trade and get out of the Circus.
Can you Dakdavidians hold nightly candlelight vigils outside his house till he agrees to leave our Circus?

There was zero reason to extend Dak

None, nada, zilch.

You didn’t even use the cap savings this season to sign other players.

Extending his contract was one of the worst decisions I’ve ever see a front office make.
Playing Devil's Advocate, as the usual Dak apologists dont seem to be contributing. There is a world where Dak signed a long contract to assist restructuring of a proper ALL-IN for the next three years. Jerry chose the 'assume the position' technique and found out, what most amateur fans could see.....you cant pay Dak on a short contract, whilst paying off the $40m restructured money AND afford the necessary weapons/protection and Defense to be a Championship winning team.

N you think they'd then pay Dak 60?

I think a team would pay dak top tier quarterback money yes, absolutely. There cases and cases of teams making mistakes and moving mountains and talking themselves into quarterbacks. Do I think the Seahawks could be one off those teams? Yes, definitely possible but my point was and is it only takes 1 team and someone would.

You said they couldn’t pay him because of the cap…..that was wrong.

So, you think you’re making a point by reasoning and bringing up 2 examples where a team made terrible decisions and gambles on quarterbacks like the 2 you referenced and you don’t think someone would gamble on dak? If anything this substantiates the fact that teams who are qb hungry or thirsty talk themselves into players all the time- just like someone would for dak. Thanks.

And yes, most franchises are ran by sound football people- referencing the browns……one team in the league isn’t the gotcha ya thought it was.

Right?

Incompetence at the NFL level runs high. Here's why: Once a person gets to the top level concerning pro football, they have developed an arrogance. At every level, they've known more than everyone else around them. So, they get here, and they think what they believe is gospel. They're too arrogant to understand that the others at that level know just as much or more.

Once again, back at ya!!!! You are repeating yourself once again!!!!!!! We all do it, every day on almost every post. If you put only a 1,000 times limit on it, this place would be a ghost town.

So touchy....you stop whining and I'll stop responding to it. Deal? BTW...I was responding to someone else and then you came swooping in to save the day. You could have saved us both time if you didn't butt in

Well to be fair, we have to hear about the 1000 timed that: Wah, It's the defense. Wah! It's the offensive line. Wah! It's the running game. The excuses get on my nerves the most, when people really weren't to use them before for a quarterback.
