Thanx, I missed most of the second half due to a family dinner at Out Back.
I was only able to catch a little during smoke breaks.:) Those stats scared me though.

Part of it had to do with his physical running style and just not wanting to run the risk of having him out there too long.

Another good prospect and there are some others I think that are good prospects. This could be a very good draft at the RB position. No doubt McFadden will get the bulk of the attention but I think if some of the jrs come out this season this will be a deep draft at RB

Kevin Smith said he is staying for his senior season, so that's not an option unless he changes his mind. The kid from Texas that is blindingly fast is asking for a draft inquiry before he makes up his mind but I wouldn't mind him either. He is just god awful fast.

Untill the O line shows that its able to really run the ball when the D is NOT all worn out then any high pick for a back is wasted. Untill Redball shows that he is willing to run as well as pass any high pick back there is wasted.

I love Charles at UT but I hope he is smart enough to stay 1 more season. Right now he would likely not go in the 1st rd but that could very well change if he waits a year and proves that his fumbles are no longer a problem. It did improve over the last 6 games for Texas but I think teams will want to see more before they would be willing to use a high pick on him. Some of these kids do get burned in the draft by agents who blow smoke up their backside like Young the former RB at Texas who was shocked in last years draft when no one picked him up. He would have been better off staying the extra year. I guess I would say the rule of thumb for jrs should be if you are not a 1st rd prospect stay in school the extra year.

No doubt in my mind. You put a stud RB behind Romo or any top QB and that makes his job so much easier as teams must account for that RB at all times. Other than the QB the only other skill player who will touch the ball more often is the RB and if that RB can pressure the defense to come up and to contain him it opens up room down the field.

EXACTLY...

No running game.

Barber and JuJo need more carries.

Some of the blocking has been terrible [JuJo takes the hand off and someone is already on him.]

12-51 on 3rd down conversions over the last 4 games.

All this stuff can be fixed.

Just make an effort to run the ball.

I definitely believe Dallas needs to work on running the ball but when Glenn and T.O. get back into the lineup teams won't be able to crowd the line...

I don't believe Julius Jones is the back you think he is...

Bush bigger than McFadden, you lost me right there... McFadden is 220 lbs and runs a 4.3/4.4. Leron Landy validated claims of his power.

Agree. That part of the post lost me. Ask anyone who played McFadden. He is a pure bred horse!

I'd just like to know where these 2 late #1 picks will play on this roster, just curious.

Maybe in a couple of years when other free agents and coaches have been traded/free agent casulties, and by then, who knows if we are Super Bowl caliber or not.

Take those 2 firsts, try and get a stud WR via trade (Fitzgereld) or package them to move up and get a star RB (McFadden) or trade atleast 1 of them to pick up a next years 1st, and use the other on a CB or something.

But let's not forget, we can make trades and get great help via free agency.

CB, RB, WR...

you don't always draft a starter *today*. if we get a WR in the 1st round via draft, we must suck if they contribute 'right away'. but if when the time comes we need someone, we have someone ready....

it's called being prepared.

let's not forget that's kinda important too.

Our WR depth is atrocious. We have one 34 year old chief another old chief with a bad wheel and a bunch of little indians. Crayton is a average #2, Stanback has shown nothing and would anyone be suprised if Hurd and Austin were out of the league in 2 years.

I agree. Someone mentioned Jerry doesn't like to overpay for a CB. That is exactly what we did with Henry because we missed on so many Corners. I think we have to spend a 1st or 2nd on a corner. It is a very similar situation with what we did with the OLine last draft.

jerry jones will flat do whatever he thinks it takes to win.

not saying he gets it right but when all the dust settles he's the best owner in the league.

he'll buy deion sanders in a pizza hut "both" commercial and make him the highest player around.

and "please me now" people forget and shout out crap cause they heard it somewhere.

we need a cb. we need a rb more in fact, rb is our priority this off-season. i'm not sure turner can do it at this point but we have to change there or keep being 2D in a 3D world.
