If you can find jack fruit, it’s a nice substitute if you’re craving things like pulled pork or carnitas! It’s pretty neutral in flavor and takes on the flavors of what you cook with it

Back when I worked at a brewery, I was in charge of making deserts for a minute because we didn’t have a pastry chef. I’ll be honest, in culinary school, my baking class was only like 6 weeks, and even then the instructor would cut out a lot, because “it’s too long for one class”.
