I've only read half the thread, but it makes me laugh how people are claiming these guys will be better than crayton.

Crayton had already done more than both combined by his second season.

remember the semi-big Crayton/Copper debates? how alot of people wanted to put Copper ahead of Crayton? people are just infatuated w/ speed at the WR position

Exactly. I guess probowl starting WRs grow off of trees. I'm happy with Crayton - if we can do better, fine, but I'm not interested in just letting him leave and hoping that better comes along.

I remember them well. Crayton is kind of my pet cat on the team, because I saw his training camp from his rookie season and told everyone to write his name down, that he would eventually be starting on this team. Now that he isn't good enough because he isn't Terry Glenn, I find it laughable.

Crayton is a good, not great receiver, but what he brings to the team is invaluable, he's a 1st down machine, and can return punts in a pinch, I'm hoping we somehow find a more spectacular returner there than him

in today's league, 3 good receivers is an important thing to possess

I agree with all this. Luckily, with TO, Witten and Crayton you already have 3 pass catchers better than most, teams. The only thing we miss is a true downfield threat, though i still contend that our passing game isn't really designed to be a bombing machine.

I definitely think we could improve on Crayton, but I see nothing to make me think that guy is on the roster, and until he is or we have a plan to get that guy, I see nothing to benefit us in losing him.
