That was cool.....I can definitely hear Jimmy in The Release, but I wouldn't be able to pick him out in Prelude without knowing to listen for him ahead of time.

Sticking with the soundtracks for a minute.....
What Stephen King movie soundtrack did AC/DC compose?

Maximum overdrive.........That was a pretty horrible movie if memory serves correct.
I do like early ac/dc tho....

This guitarist did several tracks for an 80s cult classic "the wild life" which was kinda the unoffical sequel to fast times at ridgemont high. Not all of the songs made it on to the actual soundtrack even tho they appeared in the movie.
Who was it?

That's Eddie. Isn't there a song about a singing hamburger or something like that? I vaguely remember seeing a clip of it before.

What famous lead singer said that he would never see the age of thirty and that he wanted to die with his boots on?

The singing hamburger was in Better Off dead with the tune everybody wants some.

:laugh2: Oh crap! You're right!! What a great movie.

I think I'm still right on Eddie doing The Wild Life soundtrack though.....I remember reading about it a few months ago on vhnd.com . I gotta double check.

Im guessing Jim Morrison?

Yes it was the wild life.....some of the stuff in the movie were bits and peices of future van halen songs.

Nope, but Eddie's freakin' awesome. :D

Im sure youve heard of the famed "27 club"?
Its all rock stars that died at the age of 27.
Some of the more famous members are...
Brian Jones
Jim Morrison
Kurt Cobain
Janis Joplin
Jimi Hendrix
There are many others but they are lesser known.

Is the answer Bon Scott?

I didn't know about the 27 club....that's eery.
And no, it's not Bon either. This guy was 29 when he died, which makes his prediction doubly eery. The "boots on" part might throw you off, because he's notorious for performing in bare feet.

VanZandt.

What iconic rock song pays tribute to a fire on stage during a concert that was set off by a fan with a flare and who was the artist affected by that song?

Smoke on the water by deep purple
Artist I guess would be Frank Zappa and the mothers since that was in the song.

What legendary rock/metal rocker was once a roadie for Jimi Hendrix?

Impressive speed and accuracy on the Deep Purple question
