There isn't anything you or anyone else can say that will offend me on a Cowboys fan board but your approach to posting leads to trouble which has forced me to remove several abrasive, insulting people from my discussion list and you're very close to being added to that list. We've had several exchanges in the past and you like stirring up trouble. Eventually the mods step in pulling the plug on posters who can't get along so I've had no choice but to eliminate those who only come around to hate, antagonize, insult or follow me around with some ridiculous agenda. Learn to focus on opinions not the person behind them. I've had my say and you've had yours you can disagree with me all you want but keep your comments civil or you'll be wasting your time responding to my posts. Once I'm done with someone here it's permanent.

You focus solely on the first part of my post which was pure sarcasm and done in jest. If you bothered to read the rest of it you would see I focused on your opinion and gave mine. Yes we have had several exchanges in the past but if you think I was trying to stir up trouble you are mistaken. If you do not have response to my comment concerning each season is in it's own bubble and should be judged solely on it's own then I suggest moving on.

I focused solely on the first part because your agenda seems to be to start off every discussion with me by taking a shot. Once you get that out of the way then you want to talk football until you begin to get frustrated and turn it into a personal attack. The further we go the more abrasive you become. I read your post and share the same view I posted earlier today in another thread saying pretty much the same thing.

As unexpected as this season has been for the Cowboys who knows where they'll be a year from now. They're going to have to come back next season and try and validate the 2014 season to prove it wasn't a fluke. The season they're having wasn't expected not even close. You could see something building in the early 90's as the team gradually improved from 1-15 in 89 to 7-9 in 90 to 11-5 and a playoff win in 91 to 13-3 and a championship in 92. After 3 straight 8-8 seasons and a rough offseason that brought on a lot of doom and gloom predictions it's hard to say what lies ahead next season and beyond for the Cowboys. The team could be right back to 8-8 next season if they lose Murray and Romo has to go back to shouldering the load again. With the Cowboys tied for the best record in the NFC and with no dominate team out there this may be their best chance to win a SB with Romo. He's having his best season and Murray is leading the league in rushing and it's not going to be easy for the Cowboys to duplicate or surpass this season next year. The defense is going to be an issue and it may be an issue for the next few years because there's a number of holes that have to be filled.

Not having a dominate team out there gives the Cowboys a legit chance despite their defense although I do agree their D will probably be their undoing in the playoffs. The Packers are one of the leading contenders and they also have some defensive issues but they're able to overcome them due to Rodgers and their offense. If Rodgers has an off game in the playoffs the Packers will be done. Every team in the league has taken some lumps this season which has the SB up for grabs. The Cowboys need to take advantage of the opportunity they have this season because it may be many years before they get another one. It appeared after their playoff win in 09 there would be many more opportunities in the coming years but that was the last one until this year. With a salary cap and free agency you never know what kind of team you're going to have from year to year so you have to take advantage of every playoff opportunity which have been few and far between for the Cowboys since the late 90's. Not everyone can stay in contention every year like NE. The Cowboys have a legit chance this season to do something special it's not likely but they have a chance. They've been surprising everyone all year and maybe they can continue to surprise in the playoffs.

When you win your division, you have to win that home playoff game that comes with it........................most likely we get Detroit at home and then travel to Green Bay.

A win against the Lions and a close loss on the frozen tundra would be a good season, nothing to hand your head about.

This season has been successful. We've crossed barriers we couldn't in the past. This team has overcome adversity and when our path to the SB is set in stone it'll deploy non believers. This team more and likely will not get the respect it deserves and I'm sure many will predict a GB n SEA matchup in the NFCCG. I would be ok with that prediction because this team has found a way to prove all the doubters wrong and I'm certain it'll be the case once the post season starts.

It's not a shot nor an agenda, it's just not taking an internet forum on a professional football team too seriously. I never saw your earlier post, link please.

P.s. you have never frustrated me. Laugh sure but never frustrate.

You need to take this forum seriously enough to keep your comments within the guidelines and personal jabs aren't within the guidelines.

You only desire to continue to antagonize me (rule #9) in an attempt to make this personal. I am done trying to get you back on topic. Goodbye.

I'm still overwhelmed. I expected 5 or 6 wins so 11-12 wins is great.

To call this a successful season?

Expectations change with improved results.

Most of us in the preseason would have taken more than 8 wins and just making the playoffs.

So what is it now - one playoff win, conference final, SB?

We all want a Super Bowl win, but at this point what is the level of success you would be ok with to call it a great season?

  • Potentially 12 wins when I called 7 before the season began..
  • The chance to go 8-0 on the road..
  • Records being set all around by our big three..
  • A team that is finally playing with the "balance" I have harped on for the last several years..
I'm still floored that they finally decided to start handing the ball off to the horse.. FLOORED

All of those random thoughts leave me with a feeling of accomplishment beyond my wildest dreams. Now that they have proven what they're capable of, I want to see more. I want to see a deep playoff run. But I am not going to say anything negative about this season at all. It has truly warmed my heart.

We're far from done though!

I agree with the it's already been a successful season crowd, however, I would be really excited for the future if we could win at least one playoff game.

We're only having this discussion because you responded to me. Every discussion we've ever had was initiated by you. My first response was short and to the point which should have been the end of it but you continue to respond. The next time I hear from you it better be 100% football related containing no personal shots or you'll never receive another response.

You first response was an inaccurate accusation that required a response. If you do not like people responding to your posts start a blog with the comments feature turned off. Now you are making threats. Goodbye.

It's very hard to argue that it's not already successful.
