You think this offense is deadly now? Wait until Dez gets back.
I think Dez gets it. He has seen this team win without him. He wants to be a part of this team and its chemistry.
I may not like everything Dez does, but I think he's a kid trying to overcome his background but slips into it every now and then. I would not classify him as a MeOh (TO).
Furthermore, I think Dak did a very smart thing earlier in the year. He said, in so many words, "If Dez is open, he'll get the ball. If he's not we'll get it to the open man."
And then he
PROVED it with his play by finding the open man (for the most part this has been Beasley). Basically, he sent Dez a subtle message, i.e., run your routes or you're not getting the ball. That statement right there told me a lot about Dak's leadership. Don't underestimate this point. Dak basically put his stamp on his leadership of this team.
I think Dez falls in line, teams will play still play eight men in the box and Dak will find a rejuvenated Dez, who will get arm weary throwing up the X. Then they'll back off, commit double coverage Dez's way, and we'll see Ezekiel Elliott have more long-distance sprints to the end zone because - although it's not said often - Dez is a very good down-field blocker.
Boys (and Gals), this offense is about to get even
MORE DANGEROUS.
