Yes , Hell yes Romo should start!!!! this team will not make it to where we all want to go without him as the starter, not this year and maybe not next year. I think he can only hold off Dak for 1 year, maybe 2 but he would need a lot of help from the Front Office the second year. But after that Dak would be fully ready to take over and keep the winning going.

If Romo does come back, he will have to ride Dak's coattails into the playoffs. He's had 12 years of failures to prove he can't get the job done. We are already into the next chapter of this franchise... Turning the page backwards into the failure years would be BEYOND foolish.

With that said, if Dak starts 2-4 then yes give Romo another shot. That obviously will not happen however.

Have seen a few articles and folks in the media tossing the idea out there that if Dak keeps winning-- you roll with him over a healthy Romo.

Uhhhh. No. You don't.

Romo is a top 7 QB when healthy, and the offense is MUCH more lethal with him at the helm. It is not even close.

Don't get me wrong-- I love Dak and am thrilled with how he has been playing, but under no circumstances should he be the starter with a healthy Romo on the roster.

Sorry-- had to vent after seeing another headline about this issue.
Romo will never be 100% healthy.

It has nothing to do with Romo's feelings. Romo is simply the superior QB. You are tossing aside the franchise passing leader, for a guy who hasn't even thrown a TD yet.

Romo was a legit MVP candidate the last time he was healthy. He's 36 and Brady is still killing it at 39. I think some of Romo's best work is ahead of him.

:hammer:

You guys are the same ones that said Romo would be healthy this year. I would love for Romo to be healthy and give us the 2014 version, but that doesnt seem likely.

But Ill give a whirl one last time. Its not like we are going to the SB with either QB. Romo will get his opportunity to show that he still has what it takes. And if he does, great. I have no confidence that he will stay healthy for more than 5 or 6 games tops. And with Dak on the team and playing like a veteran the writing is on the wall.

I think this is Romo's last chance. If he comes back and gets injured again it's time to move on. Right now it's still Tony's team.

This is where the big disconnect comes in for me with you guys. Where exactly do you think Romo is taking us? You are living a pipe dream if you think he is taking us deep into the playoffs or the SB. Even 100% healthy.

I think the best he can do is the division title and that's if he's healthy. This team isn't going to the SB with this defense.

Its 100% Tony's team. All the ranting I do isnt going to change that. Romo will get his chance.

Im just hear to say that Dak is the real deal.

Its pretty funny that some Cowboys fans take offense to that. Best thing that has happened to this team since Tony Romo. For me, I cant wait to see this kid play again. A glimpse into the future that I am enjoying VERY much.

I think in the long run it's better if Dak plays. The more experience he gets the better. Some don't want to risk the season I guess.

No doubt this is Tonys team. He should play. We're not ready to get on to the future yet. We wouldn't want Romo to get a ring on the bench.
Lol

The only thing worse than Romo not getting a ring would be the next guy getting one with same team. Think about how that would affect his legacy. OMG

BUT..........................that is very easy for me to say. I am not the coach. If I had to look into Tony's eyes being the warrior that he has been, I might not have the stomach. Just sayin.

But.........................If we are 6-1 or 5-2 how can you really pull the guy that is playing well?

Definitely a wait and see. The answer I am sure will reveal itself quite clearly in the next 3 games.

As long as Jerry is still alive its Tony's team and thats fair. He is Jerrys favourite son and he has earned it. Its better to let Prescott play as much as possible to get the experience. It seems at this point he may be the future. The club will not go far in the play offs with this defense.

LOL..........Now that was funny. First implying that Romo could lead us to a SB this year. Then when you acted like if Dak did it, that would be a shame. :lmao2:

As long as Dak continue to win and play well, that is what I would do.
Deep down we probably have some fans who want Dak to have just enough success to keep the season alive for Romo but not too much to where we don't want Romo back,

The Romo rhetoric has already begun. Romo's #1 cheerleader Jerry started the damage control after Dak's first win. Amazing but predictable .
