Mazi Smith isn't what we thought. He is a major project that needs a lot of work and hasn't shown any glimpses of being a big time player or even just an avg player. Same goes for that TE with a bad foot. The Cowboys draft was trash this year.
He's exactly what we thought. We all tired to warn you guys he's not going to have an immediate impact but no one wanted to believe it. Now y'all have egg on your face.

they struggled 2 out of 6 games. That doesn't make you inconsistent or bad lol.
Disagree. The Niners lost two games by a combined 7 points. We lost 2 games by 44 points

See a difference? The problem with the Cowboys defense is that they IMPLODE and can’t stop hemorrhaging yards and scores when they are faced with adversity.

The Niners defense gives their offense a chance to catch up…..our defense doesn’t

Jeckyl and Hyde defense equals inconsistency.

That's crap. Did you see what Jordan Davis did last year? You guys.....its like...nevermind.
In the first month of games in 2022 Davis had some WOW plays and stretches of games against the run. He was their best run defender in Sept.

Several times blew up double teams for TFL. That's was Sept though....early Oct. Then he got hurt....and Philly was freaking out. If Mazi got hurt....anyone in here losing sleep? Any big loss on the field? There was an immediate statistical decline for them when he got hurt....hence they rushed out to get Suh and the other guy. Would our stats look different if Mazi didn't play at all?

Now, when Davis got back, he wasn't right. FAT.... bad conditioning etc. Non factor rest of year. BUT for a month they saw glimpses. Then he committed himself this offseason lost weight (believe it or not) and is easily a Top12ish DT now.

That could happen to Mazi too.....but he's had ZERO wow moments yet. Just 3 or 4 would be nice. That's where Davis and Mazi differ. If you didn't see Davis last year in September...then you just wouldn't have the context. That said....Davis was a top 15 player in the draft.....Mazi was not. So a bit of an apples/oranges thing there IMO

They got drilled by the 49ers lol. This is why you can't box score watch because the 49ers defense got DESTROYED by the Vikings yesterday.

How on earth does a "Cowboy" fan knows how many "wow" moments Jordan Davis had? The point is he was a backup and didn't start year 1. IT takes guys time. No one is saying he will even be as good as Davis. Davis was a top 15 pick.

I dont disagree with the first part, we sucked way more in our losses.
However that vaunted 49ers defense forced only one punt and it was at the end
Keep telling yourself that.

I extensively follow the Draft. I wrote/worked for a Draft website for years as a side business....so I research all the draftees and then follow up to see how they play. I didn't watch all their games....but I watch a LOT of NFC East games, but moreover I watch content showing how each draftee is playing early on.

Mazi very well could be as good as Davis. Many of the best DLinemen take a year or 3. But he needs to at least show so.e glimpses of what he could be.

Sure but I think OSA and Hankins are pretty good duo and I suspect Hankins might be the ceiling for Mazi
I still have hope that it will be higher. I've stated before that he will take time but we should be seeing SOME an improvement during the season…….could be a 2nd or 3rd year bloomer too.

……maybe we’ll be fortunate enough to get “drilled” by 5 points in our next loss.

Im sure the offense would like to be down by 5 instead of 32, lol.

but you’re right the box score doesn’t tell the whole story. I wonder if Kirk Cousins will now be in the MVP conversation?

Keep in mind you responding to a dude who said he had footage of mazi being unblocked all game and when asked to produce the video he got quiet. That's the former draft website guy lol. Cmon man
