Welp, Dak has the defense. Let's see what he can do.Dak and Tony had/ have some good qualities but I think there are just some dudes that are destined to never win the Big game unless they have the 85 Bears or 2000 Ravens defense
Yup….even McMahon and Dilfer didn’t throw an interception in those 2 games…..can our boy match that?Welp, Dak has the defense. Let's see what he can do.
Question for you:he never won when it mattered.
His 3 straight years of needing a win in final game to make playoffs and flopping all 3 times sealed his reputation. The rest of your stats/numbers/charts mean nothing
Romo achieved a lot! How bout he was an undrafted free agent who went on to play the most glorious position in all of sports as the QB of the Dallas Cowboys. But why does it matter, Romo hasnt played for 7 years and didnt achieve anything when he did.
Yes we do have to be consistent for Dak and Tony:But we have to be consistent. As with Dak, its all about winning.
Elway took 3 teams to a SB with a bad defense and no running game. He was a HOFer before he won a SB. Kelly made it to 4 strait SBs. Romo has 2 playoff wins.Question for you:
-Elway didn't win a Super Bowl in his first 14 years. He means nothing?
-Marino never won a Super Bowl. He means nothing?
-Jim Kelly, Dan Fouts and Warren Moon never won a Super Bowl. They mean nothing?
Many Bronco fans called Elway a choker--for years. When John actually did win he really was a shadow of his former self. Just had better coach and supporting cast. Bills fans said Kelly couldn't get it done.Elway took 3 teams to a SB with a bad defense and no running game. He was a HOFer before he won a SB. Kelly made it to 4 strait SBs. Romo has 2 playoff wins.
When your defenses are this pathetic, how many playoff appearances are you expecting to get? I'm not talking playoff wins, I'm talking getting to the playoffs?Elway took 3 teams to a SB with a bad defense and no running game. He was a HOFer before he won a SB. Kelly made it to 4 strait SBs. Romo has 2 playoff wins.
Guys that have a lot of comeback wins are not on teams with good defenses. That’s why Derek Carr is #1 and Brady is in the middle of the pack. Hard to looks at single stats and try to make sense of it. That’s why I like QBR, because it attempts to isolate QB play from everything else. Romo was pretty good on that metric and among HOFers who have a Super Bowl.First thing I noticed was Derek Carr then I just voided that whole post. Hell naw lol...
Kyle Orton played in one of those three games you saying Romo flopped in (2013 in Philly). Romo was injured and didn't take a single snap.he never won when it mattered.
His 3 straight years of needing a win in final game to make playoffs and flopping all 3 times sealed his reputation. The rest of your stats/numbers/charts mean nothing
Sad but true...Point is he never won a game when he had to. He was great in non pressure games-may have been best in game (at that time) but for games of importance (playoff implications/playoffs) he folded.
So true brother. There's only one Captain comeback real cowboy fans know who that is.
And there's one heartbreaker who frustrated us to know end like the cow that would give a full bucket of milk and then kick it over
No. Payton was coaching the Saints for Tony's entire career. Bill left after Romo's first year as starter. He also had Bill Parcells early in his career...and Sean Payton inhouse.
But my point was he was already a HOFer. Those Bronco teams never would have made the SB without him. Many Bronco fans called Elway a choker--for years. When John actually did win he really was a shadow of his former self. Just had better coach and supporting cast. Bills fans said Kelly couldn't get it done.
Fan "logic", and it's alive here.
Roger had that reputation as he had some high profile comebacks. But he's not even in the conversation. There's only one Captain comeback real cowboy fans know who that is.
Because 7 years later, his replacement hasn't done anything noteworthy.
