You are reminding me of my brother when he's smoked so much he can't frame a single sentence that makes sense. Maybe take a break from posting and enjoy some music?
There's this perverse belief, by an element on here, that if you query whether Dak you must be a Romo fan. Personally I don't get the connection.
* whatever.... criticising a typo somewhat shows your level.

I found it interesting that 4 of the top 5 on that list are regarded as bus drivers at best.

To me it indicates that these guys are very good QB's who did their best to overcome the bad team around them.
Most insightful post of the thread. I hope to explore more on this over the weekend.

Romos highlight reels will always start with his mistakes
Did he have any comebacks in the playoffs that actually meant anything.

Captain comeback will always be attached to Roger staubach because he cleaned up other people's messes watch the 72 game against the 49ers in the playoffs.

Tony Romo unfortunately is the piss boy of the franchise and will always be associated with one and done win or go home games and the botched snap that is his legacy on the field

Tony is an excellent football analyst talk about that if you want to speak on something he's really good at.

Leave the stories about the greatest comebacks to the legend and cowboy God Roger staubach

the botched snap
You choose to judge Tony over a non-quarterback play, playing as a FG holder?

What happened that led up to that play? Why the slip? Why was Tony playing special teams as a starting quarterback.

Maybe some interesting questions if you are open to explore something beside "God Roger Staubach".

It's insightful because a comeback doesn't need to have a QB that has an overly strong arm. I'd imagine it's more about doing what you do. The argument about Dak is that rather than play his game he looks (to my eye) that he loses composure and over tries....as if he's impatient to get it over with, rather than move the chains.
The problem is there's no objective stat to confirm that.

I don't blame Tony for that play at all that was on parcells you should never have your starting quarterback holding for field goals I'm just telling you how he's going to be remembered and for what it's not my choosing how the media portrays him notice I said unfortunately in my post

There's really nothing more to explore whether you like it or not Roger staubach is an NFL God a multiple super bowl winner Hall of Fame player and the true Captain comeback for America's team.

Tony Romo will never achieve this status no matter how much you or any other keyboard puncher wants it to happen.
Tony is an incredibly talented football analyst do yourself a favor and speak on that because that is a topic that actually makes sense.

Agree 150%.

No doubt the media's focus on that play created a false image of Romo, the quarterback. Taints facts even to this day.

Trust me no one wanted a storybook ending for Romo any more than I did.

Unfortunately I couldn't control the outcome any more than it seemed he could I became weary of making excuses.
The poor guy just had an uncanny habit of doing a whole lot of good things and then one horrendously bad thing right at a time when it couldn't be overcome and left the fan base with a horrible memory instead of a storybook ending.

It was just his legacy and it was sad the way it went down but we can't change it it's best to just move on from it and concentrate on what he is good at analyzing football

I'm having a good time watching you try and prop up a guy who threw like five interceptions against the bills in one of his comebacks that will only be remembered for how bad he actually. played.

Compare that to the real Captain comeback who had arguably the most iconic play in football with the hail Mary against the Vikings in '75 playoff game that will always be remembered for how great he played and how great he was.
I'm having a good time watching you curb stomp Romo's teeth for 5 interceptions instead of giving him some credit for still leading the team to the win. 9 points in 20 seconds. He did not fold under pressure and adversity. Amazing.

You probably went to bed early so mad you missed it.

But haters will find a way to hate no matter what.

Lions in 2014. They had the #2 ranked defense in the league…

Do you even follow this team?

No I never went to bed early I was there to The bitter end many times and I'm not a hater I love Romo I just think he's a far better football analyst than a quarterback he's an excellent man and father I'm glad he got it out of football before he got seriously hurt.

But unfortunately he was a heartbreaker without equal in this franchise

I got one we we talked more about those 2 successful qbs more than we do.

We spend too much bandwidth on the last 2 qbs both of whose teams have done jack squat

35 NFL Quarterbacks in the history of the NFL were clutch enough to lead over 20 Fourth Quarter Comebacks in their career. Here they are, ranked by total comebacks.

This puts Romo above 99.8% of all QBs in clutchness.

Interesting.
You'd probably need to do that on a per games (started) basis to get a better idea.

Some are higher up because of the sheer volume of games they played
Eli started a whopping 234 games and had 27, for example
Romo started 127 and had 24....so really, nearly twice as many 4th qtr comebacks on a per-game bases.

But a comeback can "sometimes" be a bit deceiving because players on great teams don't need to come back as much.
