Really wonder why these 5 places are popular at all. Seems like they all kind of cemented their spots with the public consciousness in the mid-to-late 80s and bankruptcy is the only thing that can move them out.
First job in HS was as a Domino's driver. They were expanding so fast they actually gave a free pizza to anyone who applied. Quit after 2 weeks and have never eaten there since.
Pizza Hut has been a fave for most of my life, but had to come to grips that the greasy fried dough was not a good life choice. They were also home to just about every youth league pizza party I had growing up. The Hut wins on nostalgia. Haven't tried them since the recent menu changes.
The other three are meh to gah.
Honestly, the frozen pies priced a step up from Digiorno/Freschetta -- Home Run Inn, Vito & Nick's, American Flatbread -- are far better than the chains and cheaper. They're just not a viable option for feeding a large group.
