I voted for Lincoln Riley because I think he's next level offensive innovation-wise.

I also very much like the idea of Urban Meyer. I think he runs the perfect offensive scheme for Dak (Dak's coach at Miss. St was Dan Mullen, Mullen was a longtime Meyer assistant). I think these players will love playing for him and he'll have great insight with the draft. I also think he'll land us some free agents (there are a lot of Ohio State players in the league). Last, I think he's the perfect person for the Cowboys unique situation. Enough of a name to have sway but no NFL experience so he can't lock Jerry out of the locker room. The health thing is a concern but NFL coaches don't work as many days per year as big time college coaches.

My ideal staff would be:
HC: Urban Meyer
OC: Joe Brady
DC: Gus Bradley

Supported Meyer at first and think he’s a great coach, but like some players, I have a hard time cheering for someone who has done repeatedly done things that are unforgivable IMO. Some people will ignore Meyer’s past as long as he wins (these are usually the same people that would be the first to bash another team for hiring him) but I can’t do it.

The more I read about him, the more I realized I forgot about him. The guy is a complete piece of feces which is exactly why I think Jerry will hire him. Jerry makes it really hard to wish this team success when he hires and puts up with some of the personnel he does, himself included. I’m sure there will be plenty of excuses made for Urban if he’s our next HC, but like Bennett, Hardy, Beasley, Zeke, etc, he would be highly criticized if he worked for any other team.

Sorry homers, I don’t forget and I don’t wear blinders just because someone wears or represents the Star. Urban being our next HC would make me puke.

Riley is #1 for me, McDaniels would be second......Im leery of Meyer cause he'll either get health problems again or just simply not like the next level and quit on us after a yr or 2.....

My next door neighbor looooovvvvves OU. I myself have seen enough games where a defense gives up 40 points regularly. Maybe that is a function of players that commit, but my god is that def bad

I’m weary of a college coach without significant experience at the NFL level. The top programs get the best recruits and are flooded with talent so it’s easier to win against those that are less talented

No wonder he and Zeke got along until Zeke threw him under the bus. This is one reason I have hopes that Urban would get along with Jerry, I think he’s a great coach but neither have any morals and would start Hitler at QB and Satan at LB if that’s what it took to win. Make no mistake, Urban is one of the slimiest coaches out there, he and Jerry could slither around together on the sidelines. I’m starting to rethink my position already, there’s a lot I forgot about.

I’d be eying Tomlin close to see if Pitt fires him. If they do you sweep in and hire him with a quickness.

lol the Steelers FO doesn't strike me as idiots...Tomlin is on his 3rd string QB after losing his starting QB...his No. 1 RB (Bell), his new No. 1 RB, and the headcase know as AB. Overnight he has transformed an offensive team to a defensive one and somehow is in the AFC playoffs.

Yeah, not happening unless Tomlin wants out.

if not Tomlin since he is not going anywhere.....

Why not go for one of the long time quality assistant coaches like Pittsburgh's Keith Butler or New Orleans Pete Carmichael.

im sure those guys could put together excellent staffs and manage a game better than Garrett. How they handle Jerry I don't know, not sure butler would want to be around a guy like Jerry but whatever.

I used to think Kellen was really good, and then he started doing strange stuff. Like not running Zeke after 9 minutes left in the third quarter. It's seems the coaches are unaware of what's working and not working during a game.
