Who is in to... Photography?

Thanks! That was my favorite of the trip. And I nearly fell in trying to get that angle.

An artist has to suffer for his art. ;)

Took the new F-75 to work tonight. Lot's of pictures of coworkers and such. Just trying to use up the first roll. Then off to walgreens!

Do you have a scanner that scans negatives?
I've taken to just having them develop the negs and let me process them on the computer. You can do a better job of processing them with a little time and effort.

I have a flatbed scanner that scans photos and doc's. I normally just scan a photo and then play with it in the computer.

We have a printer that will print from the negatives. We haven't tried that yet, but I'd really like to.

It didn't come with an adapter or plate of some kind? Most usually do. What kind is it?

So I guess it scans it in and you can alter the photo in some way?
Did it come with software for that?

It's a HP photo/scanner/printer/copier. I have photo editing software from Canon and HP.

They're great shots. Megapixels are over rated. :)

They really are, imo. My camera is only 4MP and I take some nice pictures.

Well, when they're 3 inches tall on a computer screen that's certainly true.

Thanks. I look forward to the day when i can get a really nice camera, like the Nikon D90 and some lenses. It's just a hobby but i love taking pictures.

That was kind of tongue in cheek, but for simple 8x10's 4-6 mp is sufficient.

Obviously, I can't show the 8x10 print out I have of this, but this photo was taken with a Nikon Coolpix point and shoot 5 years ago, and it's a perfect print, with no noise.

For the consumer they are. You get some great 8x10's with point and shoots at this point, because of how far the tech has come.

The idea of higher mega-pixels is for people who want the flexibility of going bigger and keeping it clean and high end printing.

That's a sweet camera and I love Nikon.
I'm really looking forward to walking into B&H Photo and getting my hands on the D3, or D700 very soon.

BTW, when you buy consider them. They're in New York, but if you're not, I'm pretty sure you don't pay sales tax (at least my buddy didn't when he bought his) and they have free shipping.
