He's been done for a long time. I own him so bad he doesn't even respond anymore and I don't read him anymore. I see his name and just keep scrolling. Never contributes one single thought on the team other than Romo drive-by's and notice they are all one or two sentences because he gets crushed.

I have much more respect for guys like KJJ who defends his position with intellectually reasoned posts. A 7th grader can write cheap shots.

Nothing to see here.

Wait. Defending KJJ as one who defends his position?
He has almost every member blocked. He blocked a guy in this thread for saying "drink up"

It's obvious this pound rock guy is a fan of another team and makes consistently stupid posts.

Honest question here, but if Rodgers continues on this pace, not get better but just stays consistent, is he a top 10 QB of all-time?

I don't think so.......I think he is over-rated. Don't get me wrong, he is a good to great player but I think he is put on a pedestal IMO. He gets way too much praise and no one ever points out his negatives.

Maybe this is just the pinot grigio talking, heh.

Honestly, I think if he stays at his current pace until he retires, he'll be considered on even ground as Brady, Manning, Montanna, ect; He'll easily be top 10, and will be in the discussion for GOAT, especially if he wins another ring. Every time I watch Rodgers play, the guy is lights out and everything you want in a QB. Strong arm, accurate, great awareness, very mobile, and isn't prone to turn the ball over.

The one (negative) thing you can say about Rodgers is that when his team is behind late, he doesn't take enough risks. Sure he may not throw an interception or turn the ball over, but he also won't win the game. And sometimes the only way you're going to win is by taking risks. He simply won't take risks, it's just not in his nature, and because of it Packers rarely win late when trailing.

Great take on Rodger's strengths and his big weakness.

That is what bothers me about him from the media. They all talk about come-back wins and late heroic drives for every QB except Aaron. He does not excel in that area.

the media decide they like a QB and from that point on he can do no wrong. Rodgers comeback stats are frankly HORRIBLE.

All true, and those who say, "the reversal of Dez's catch didn't matter, because the Packers would have scored on the next possession anyway" do not account for this.

Are you for real? Lol

I'm not going to block you because you didn't attack me personally however you have followed me around the past couple of days making the same comment. I'm not going to tolerate stalking, antagonizing, personal attacks or attempts to be a nuisance. If you continue to follow me around making the same comment to every post I make I will place you on ignore.

The highest rated QB from last season didn't make the list???

NFL.COM
Who is the best quarterback in the NFL entering the 2015 season?

18%Tom Brady

43%Aaron Rodgers

6%Ben Roethlisberger

6%Peyton Manning

10%Andrew Luck

17%Other

Total Votes: 108480

I think maybe some around here don't realize that the 6 choices ARE THE ONLY CHOICES in the poll.

In other words, NFL.com did not even allow Romo to be a choice. The closest you can get to selecting him, if you wanted to, was "other".

VERY deceptive

Listen, I have no intention or ambitions of "stalking" you. I read most all the threads and if you post in it I will read it. That is not stalking. I do however, find it a bit ironic and hypocritical that you take offense to me poking fun at your subtle but regular insulting of fans who disagree with you with your "FAN" label.

You take a derogatory and antagonizing position when you throw the "FAN" at someone who in your opinion is pure, biased, homer. Then you are upset when you get a return jab. I suppose you could hide behind the technicality that you usually use "FAN" in a somewhat general sense but that would be pretty weak imo as it is always apparent to whom you are referring by the context.

Please stop with the threats. I like to read what everyone has to say no matter what side of the fence they are on. I haven't missed much here in the last nine years and I have yet to put my first person on ignore. If I was the type to do that you would have made it on the list long ago with your relentless and biased dogging of Romo combined with your passive aggressive use of "FAN" and threats of blocking.

Block me. Don't block me. I really don't care. I'll continue to read what you post, nod in agreement, or shake my head in disbelief or chuckle in amusement or whatever the appropriate response may be.

Luck is a turnover machine who can't win the big game (Dallas and New England blasted him last year). He needs to improve soon or the media will turn on him.

Wow - I did not know that about him. That's disappointing because although he goes on and on he at least takes the time to defend his position instead of a pointless jab with no context. I know he's been a fan for a long time. He was at the Cowboys Super Bowl in Pasadena against the Bills and wrote about how awesome it was.

Yes - PTR would rather hit and run than ever explain why - so to me it's personal with Romo because it can't possibly be his play. He deserves EJ Manuel or Ryan Fitzpatrick as his quarterback - not Tony Romo.

Reading posts isn't stalking but responding with the same silly comment in back to back days in response to two separate posts I've made is getting close to it. No one is threatening you just passing a warning that if you or anyone else has any intention to stalk, antagonize or try to become a nuisance I'll click the block button. Some may not care if I block them but those who enjoy bantering with me will make every attempt to keep our discussions civil. There's posters who want to exist in my world here and never get personal no matter how often we disagree. They don't allow a differing of opinion to cause them to resort to jr high tactics while they hide behind their computer monitor. They expose themselves as cowards with the insulting comments they make. I don't care if you or anyone else pokes some fun at my comments I poke fun at comments all the time but when someone keeps showing up making the same silly remark to everything I say it can become annoying and adds nothing positive to the discussion. It just brings others in who like playing monkey see monkey do and it can cause a problem that can disrupt a thread and bring in the mods. Due to the hatred and immaturity of a few posters who have an agenda to wage repeated personal attacks against me every time I post on this board I've had no choice but to start blocking people.

If I joke around with them taking a few jabs to counter theirs the mods step in and start banning everyone so my hands have been tied. I've been told to put the trouble makers on ignore because jabbing back and forth with them will get us all in trouble. Any poster who handles a differing of opinion by stalking, antagonizing and insulting others is an idiot. It takes a real idiot to end up on my blocked list because I'm very easy to get along with regardless how different someone's opinion is than mine. Me calling someone a FAN is not derogatory or an attempt to antagonize it's my way of separating the homers from the realists. It's no insult to be a FAN because boards like these wouldn't exist without FANS. Neither the games on Sunday or these boards would be the same without FANS. It's the optimistic views of the FANS that keep the faith alive amongst many here. As for Romo I don't dog him I speak the truth about him I've backed everything I've ever said about him with facts and stats. Anyone who's affected negatively by my posts should either scroll over them or put me on ignore.

I'm personally all over the place in terms of what I think of Luck as a QB.

On one hand, he has averaged 14 interceptions per season -- which is too high. He has thrown even more in the playoffs.

On the other hand, he has led his team the playoffs every single season of his 3 year career culminating with 40 TD season last year and getting his very average Colts team into the AFC Championship.

In many ways he is going through a very natural and steady progression to the Superbowl.

If he wasn't heralded as the next Peyton Manning we'd all be in awe of Luck.

Your labeling of fans that disagree with you as homers is no less juvenile as my making a drinking game of your use of the label FAN is.

You do attempt to make a reasonable argument for your opinion of Romo but you ignore or downplay the many stats that say otherwise. You also rely heavily on subjective opinions such as win or go home records and point to singular events as proof without paying heed to the context surrounding many of those events. From my perspective you come across equally as biased as those you would call FANS which seems odd to me because you do seem to have a lot of knowledge and understanding of the game.

But anyways... enough of this. The last word is yours if you want it.

Go Cowboys...

Edited to add: I neglected to quote but obviously I'm talking to KJJ.

I come across this type of Cowboy fan all the time. I don't really bother explaining anything to them, because; they really don't understand the NFL.

Hey, if you're a 'fan' then believe whatever you want.

But I'm just going to say this;

'Romo' is not a team. The Cowboys are a team.

'Eli' is not a team, he was a piece of a team that won the Superbowl. There are many important parts that make up any team and one of those parts is a quarterback.

When you 'boldly' state that Romo is not that good, just goes to show that you don't understand football. I don't think you're dumb I just think you are ignorant, probably very young. That is OK.

You see @PoundTheRock football is the ultimate team game, as you get older you realize that it is usually not one player that ever decides the outcome of any game (although the position of quarterback has a greater impact than any other position obviously) it is a series of mistakes or correct actions that determine the outcome and each player has a part to play.

I mean think about it Brad Johnson, Jeff Hostetler, Trent Dilfer won Superbowls. Is it because they were awesome quarterbacks?

Archie Manning had tons of guts and talent and he never won a Superbowl either.

I could go on, but I doubt you care... and I'll be honest when I encounter a 'fan' of the Cowboys who doesn't think Romo is a good quarterback, I will be happy to let them live in their own ignorance, because I don't believe you can fight against that kind of idiocy, it is what it is.

You guys should know our OL isn't the best in the league either 'cause they too have never won a SB title. They never will be elite until they do. Witten was never elite, nor was Ware. Until you win a ring. Criteria some fans have on what is and isn't. lol. Oh ya, Dez isnt elite either. On other teams, JJ Watt isn't elite too for same reason.
