Who is the best WR complement to CeeDee?

And I agree with you here…the way we operate even if Burden is available Id prefer to trade down and grab a 3rd and just take the WR available if that’s an option.

Outside of Tet, do those other WRs (Burden, Egbuka ,Golden) compare to this group of WRs?

In terms of skill sets/measurables I'm not sure yet but ranking them using Lance's preliminary grades for this years class

JMO, do not use draft assets on another WR, you already have your #1 in CD.
Stephon Diggs would be the best to compliment CD, in my opinion. You have Tolbert, Mingo, Brooks to develop and handle the 3-5 roles.

This is where I am........if Tmac doesn't drop, just sign vet who can hit the ground running. If you think about it, why are we asking the question about the three after Tmac? None are a slam dunk blue chipper you would expect drafting as high as 12. Not to mention, how long would take to gain Dak's trust. Remember it took almost an entire for Dak and Lamb to click his rookie year coz Coop was the #1 guy. This free agent cycle could have 3-4 reasonably priced guys who could step in on day one and make an impact.

Something else to consider.....we an out on Lamb's contract after 2027. If we spend the 12th overall on WR, shouldn't we be confident he can be a #1 guy in a couple of years?

I agree to an extent…but there are elements of being a quality route runner and athletic traits are a piece of it. I’ll change my tune if Burden doesn’t test well but he has those traits.

Of course I want him to improve on the other elements, but again, you can’t tell me this kid can’t win on some of the referenced routes along with some manufactured touches in year 1 while he’s improving. I’m not going to ask him to come in and run option routes and multi breaking spot routes in year 1 unless he’s ready.

You can be successful with either type, but I feel Dak works better with a strong route runner as he did with Cooper. What I like most about Egbuka is all the big games he has been in and had to makes big pressure plays. He knows how to get open and find those holes in a zone, can get separation against man coverage

Continue to move Ceedee around and get the ball in his hands as much as possible, let Turpin/Tolbert run the go routes (I know not exactly scary), but where we lack is a guy that can beat man coverage over the middle and make a tough catch. An Anquon Bolden/Keyshawn Johnson/Michael Crabtree type would do Dak and the offense wonders

If we are to use a lot more play action then I'd rather see us sign a vet in FA (Diggs). For play action to work properly the timing and execution of the routes need to be spot on and that takes time, and having to depend on a rookie WR to contribute right away is wishful thinking.

I’m really liking Bech the more I watch and I think he fits that mold…but is he a 4.6 guy or a 4.5 guy?

Combine will be big for him.

Definitely like him, for sure fits the mold I described. Both Iowa St WR’s are very good, although Noel doesn’t fit the big frame model and more of a slot.
Jackson Meeks, Pat Bryant, and Ja’Corey Brooks are some others I like after the 2nd round. Bech is also another option already named.
