Yeah people are way too quick to dismiss a guy who came within a whisker of two 20 sack seasons. I wasn't his fault that Romo kept throwing picks at the worst possible times to keep the team from winning. Especially that 2008 season when he had 20 sacks and TWENTY SEVEN tackles for loss. A statistic he led the league in 3 times in addition to leading in sacks twice and finishing second once. Ware got stuck on some snakebit teams so he didn't get to shine as much in big games and playoffs as he should have. Still he had 7.5 sacks in 8 playoff games.. Micah has one sack in his three playoff games.. Just sayin. Micah is on a much better constructed and better coached defense. I think if Parcells had stuck around a little longer Ware's career would have been even better. Micah's fun to watch for sure.. but so was Ware... The amount of attention he got from opposing offenses was borderline comical at times. But people get amnesia about his greatness because of the lack of playoff success in Dallas. Seemed like he did just fine in Denver even being past his prime.

I loved the Warewolf, but I think Micah takes the edge. Micah just seems to have that kind of leadership that will have the rest of the defense running through walls for him. Ware never struck me as that kind of personality.

I think this is the unanimous thinking. Ware should have been a 1st ballot HOFer, but the lion is headed to that special wing with Jerry Rice, Deion, LT etc.

I have been watching the Cowboys since the late '60's and Micah Parsons is the best player that I have ever seen play for the Cowboys or any other team for that matter.

This doesn't mean he will have the best overall career but, if he stays healthy, he will be the greatest player ever.

You’re going way overboard with that statement. Parsons is a great player and is off to a better start than any of them but 5 levels better than those players is simply not true.

People disdainful of Ware will claim Parsons is better even if they never watched him play.

IT will be interesting to see if Parsons can keep it up year after year as Ware did; and of course after his first 5 years Ware was on a steadily deteriorating D and had very little help.
I hope Parsons does not have to go to another team to get a ring like Ware did.
Ware like Parsons benefited from having excellent coaching his first few years; then the last part of his career until he left the Boys the defensive coaches were not all that. I hope Parsons will be more fortunate.

For all your claims that is recency bias. For example I watched Larry Allen at his best and he was a greater player than Parsons is now.
Watched Staubach and Emmitt and others and while Micah is looking great right now he could be a flash in the pan; give him at least five years in the NFL doing this before you start to make claims like that.

DWare was a great player. But Parsons is on the Lawrence Taylor level. He's not limited to one area. He moves around and can attack from anywhere on the line. He's basically LT 2.0 on this team.

Parsons actually has better football instincts. Ware was a DE that had to learn the OLB position in a 3-4 defense. Ware also struggled against the run, initially. He was susceptible to misdirection. Parsons is a better leader and much, much, more aggresive.

You mean susceptible to misdirection also like Parsons last year wasn't that great against the RPO he was taking the wrong guy he was overly aggressive hopefully that gets fixed this year but we have not been in a game yeah a real tough matchup to where they're gonna test him with those RPO's and the misdirections don't act like Parsons was perfect last year there were games where he got man is out of the game they either went away from him or right at him with those RPO's and he did lose a lot of those battles last year... Dudes not a perfect player yet I know what he's got about 17 threads right now on the front page and I love Micah Parsons but the Marcus wears in the Hall of Fame so he's gonna get the nod right now because his longevity his career the fact that he left the Cowboys and went and got a ring he's got now the hardware and the stats.... If you want to make it a tie I can live with that but don't act like there is a huge gap right now because there's not.. I know humans live in the moment so right now we feel that way but people forget how good the mark is where it was but both of them like many players in the NFL will have droughts where they disappear or they get beat or they're off a little bit they're not playing all 17 games at this level we saw it last year this defense let us down last year and as much as people don't want to admit it Prescott and the offense had to prop it up...
