Ben Johnson had every weapon in the world. Did the job you would expect him to do, much like Moore. Glenn was down almost all of his best players for half a season and still had them playing really well. The optics are that he can get players to play above their level. Name the last Cowboys coach you could say that about.
I can't stand Deion personally. Didn't like him when he played for the Cowboys even though I recognize that he was a great player. I think what has made him successful in the college game, his ability to attract talent with his name, will not translate to the pro game. The guy was immensely talented physically, not sure that translates to being a leader of men.

We need to fail badly and even embarrass Jerry into changing...so I voted Moore, as a decent 'sticking plaster' HC isnt getting it done and perpetuates Jerry as GM. Moore ticks every box: cheap, malleable to Jerry's interference and Dak friendly.

Hard for any coach to overcome the Owner/GM. JJ just has too many irons in the fire as owner/gm/businessman/event planner/entertainer,etc.

It is never going to happen, but he should have hired a president of football operations and a general manager, people that can concentrate full-time on the football side of things. Then he would have more winning and that would’ve meant more money coming in.

Honestly in Dallas it does not matter who is HC. Because in Dallas the coach is such a neutered figure. Look at the franchises left in the playoffs. Do any of them operate in the manner Dallas does? Can a player who gets his butt sat ever just go over the HC's head and complain to the Owner/GM to force the coach to play him? We saw that this year with Zeke who had no business being on the team but was not only forced into this, but was then forced to be given carries while achieving almost nothing or in some cases worse than nothing. Coaches in Dallas are viewed more as a necessary evil and because of that, the trajectory of this clown show will never change. There will be some years where they win in the regular season but this thing is never going to be anywhere close to contending for anything so long as this insane dynamic exists.

To be fair I haven't been optimistic about this franchise for over a decade. The years from Campo to Romo essentially beat it out of me. I think Garrett being hired and forced on Wade was what did it. The HC-ing position is treated with such contempt by the Owner that I'm honestly expecting them to field a team with no HC, just a bunch of co-ordinators with the players deciding when to call time-outs and throw the challenge flag. Hell the owner/gm might decided to do that job as well.

I voted Deion, he’s a proven winner his whole life, he’s driven to succeed and he’s probably the only coach on that list who might get Jerry to change and give the HC a little more leeway!

I voted Deion because he fits the circus like atmosphere of the Dallas Cowboys and would be an excellent addition to the clown show we get to witness every season.

First off Reed would be stripped of every ounce of power and told that he might be allowed to throw a challenge flag provided he get Jerry's approval. Mahomes would be treated like royalty for simply beating up the minnows. No expectation to prove anything.
