Who Jerry hires will say a ton

So they wouldn't let McCarthy interview with the Bears. Yet they won't even sign up. Jerry has no clue how to treat his coaches.

I'm still pissed they didn't try to retain Dan Quinn. he took players and few assistants with him and Jerry did nothing.

I could care who will coach the Cowboys. Jerry will just meddle and mess things up like he's done with McCarthy.

Jerry should just keep Zimmer as DC and Schottenheimer as OC.

Why does Jerry need to hire a HC? Jerry already has Jerry, what more did he ever need?

Of course, he has to humor the fans so he will probably promote Schottenheimer to HC for appearance's sake. Schottenheimer's actual role won't change except to schedule practices and make gametime decisions when required.

Jerry has observed HCs formulate gameplans and it doesn't appear too challenging, Jerry just needs a preseason to perfect the skill. The important thing is that this will save him an impressive 10 million dollars a year

Better yet, he'll have all the coordinators come up with a gameplan and he'll consolidate it all by putting the information in a really cool looking notebook. The title on the notebook will read, "Jerry's Gameplans". This will be in large type so all media members can see it and be appropriately impressed.

Just wait for the headlines of who Dallas will hire. If it's a Witten or Kellen Moore type. It'll be more of what we saw the last 30 years. Deion??? NO! Talk about a circus. If Jerry hires a no-nonsense coach. A guy who will install toughness and bring about accountability. Then I'll get excited. He brings another puppet in. 30 more years of the same crap. I myself want a tough defensive coach -with a great OC. Hopefully he starts with moving the team back to Texas for full training camp from day one. I see this. I'd be saying "yea baby" change is here. I just want more toughness like it was under Jimmy and Tuna. Pete Carroll for an oldee. The Dak situation needs to be resolved before we start interviewing HC candidates. New HC needs certainty.

a competent GM would be using the window of opportunity that having no coaching staff in place presents. There needs to be an announcement now that Dak will be a June 1st cut.

Get the teams biggest issue resolved and give any incoming coach clarity on what he's working with and the context he's taking the role.

If not we'll end up with the new HC having to make the decision and take whatever flak goes with it. Or worse, the new coach taking the job and having to walk on eggshells not knowing if the GM will support any decision to cut Dak.

They all suck and are unserious hires. Witten would be the biggest joke. What has he done to deserve a NFL HC job?
