The Cowboys have weaknesses all over the roster. You are going have to survive with a position like defensive end if your going to invest draft and free agent money to get better in the middle of the defense. You all seem to forget that we need a top notch runhing back and skill players to help out the offense.
My plan remains DT, WR, RB in the draft. Now if you find a veteran receiver that could negate the need. Adding a Fowler type as a situational pass rusher along with some veteran help at the DT position. Tm makes a good point, you aren’t going to sit a high draft pick, you need more of a rotational type behind him at is cost effective

I understand that most dt’s take some development time, but that is usually not the case for top picks at the position. Carter for example, was good as soon as he hit the field.

Not to say I trust Sam but he could have a Fowler type of impact next season. He is a talented pass rusher.

Your plan for defensive tackle, Wideout, and running back is a solid start but we have some many holes. We are like a row boat that is springing leaks once you plug one hole. We need a safety/middle linebacker and a backup quarterback that could actually challenge Dak as well. I am worried that the injuries might have caught up to 4.

It’s going to be a multi year rebuild plan. Hiring the right HC and starting using fa more could speed up the process. Priority this offseason should be fixing their run defense and rush offense. After that, they can fill out their roster the following yr

even if we got four excellent starters from the draft and spent all our cap on FA we would not plug all the holes in one year.

Yeah. I really want to see who this coach is. It will tell us how they will attack free agency and the draft. I want a front office shake up in the worst way so I am hoping we bring in Belicheck. We need the Joneses to be uncomfortable.

A kid like Mason Graham would do wonders. He plays relentlessly and it will rub off on, if not push the veterans to get to his level

I really like Deone Walker but he may need to be coached hard and we don’t do that at Jerry World.
Love to get Mason bit might be gone before we get to pick

It’s all about price and having a 60 million qb that squeezes their resources
That has nothing to do with it…it’s an accounting road bump. Make a few minor moves and we’ve got a ton of money in FA to spend.

Our FO is cheap in FA, so they probably won’t, but it’d be easy to free up a lot of money to make the moves we’re talking about.

Yes and no, cannot continue giving out market setting type contracts and have the ability to spend in the open market. They have to pay Parsons probably that type of contract. Will a player like Bland get squeezed?

Give me the three guys you think Jerry will actually interview? Not the ones you hope but who you think Jerry would actually interview. I think Belicheck, Kellen Moore, and possibly bring Big Mike back.

His last search wanted experienced HC not another young one who has to go through growing pains, Johnson is in that category

You literally can…with a few restructures / cuts etc they could be big spenders this FA.

The concept is simple…the FO just won’t do it.

Bland walks…you don’t pay 2 CBs top contracts.

They certainly can open up space, but like you said, unwilling to do it!

Rooney rule
To appease that rule all he has to do is interview Al Harris. Believe me I would love Flores. He is no nonsense and that is what are players need with the Joneses running the front office.

San Francisco is paying two corners big money, along with a left tackle, two wide receivers, tight end, running back, line backer, defensive tackle, defensive end, and are about to extend the quarterback. The Cowboys can keep everyone if they choose too.

Over 50+ million in restructures for Dak and Lamb and that doesn’t consider other moves that could likely free up another 10/20 million.
