I'll be happier if the Eagirls win but I won't actively root for them. Don't even know if I'll watch the game. Just watching both teams make me sick.

Well put, but I will watch the game, hoping they beat each other up, so that both teams will be hurting for the next 3 to 5 weeks, so we can hopefully keep pace with both. Depending the outcome of the game.
If Giants win, then we have a must win game situation against them. Though it's pretty much a must win game either way. Then the Eagles have another loss, go play at Carolina, which coould be a loss, then we get them and may even have a chance at winning. They would be pretty well done. Then only the Giants to worry about.

If Eagles win, it keeps things tighter, and since we play them both, and if we can beat them both, we will be in much better shape holding it together until Romo returns for that final push.
This is a tough one. will have on, but maybe with sound muted. The Chip and Eli love will be hard to listen to.

Rather the eagles win. If giants win that would be 4 straight and they have built momentum for themselves. Rather eagles win then we go into ny and beat them and get back to first place.

Logic would dictate the Giants need a few loses, the Eagles have plenty at the moment so yeah I hope the Giants lose this one...

It's been a lot of comments in here about what is logical and what have you. The logic for me is it's better to have a 2 man race than to keep every team in the division afloat, hence why I am rooting for Giants tonight.

Truthfully, I am completely on the fence. I do not think the Eagles are a good football team BUT if they start to get some momentum offensively, I feel they can string some wins together and be tough to beat. The Giants are known for being a very inconsistent regular season team, even in their better years, so even if they win the game...I know it is only a matter of time before they start to show their true colors.

Looking at the schedule I would have to say I would rather eagles win tonight since their remaining schedule looks a bit harder.

I rather the Eagles win a low scoring game ( their offense doesn't get started) where there a key but not career or season ending injuries to both teams. Perhaps Bradford has a torn labrum in the shoulder of his throwing arm, and I'll take a high ankle sprain from OBJ.

I will never root for the Eagles. If the game can't end it a tie I hope the Giants win. I despise everything Philadelphia

So what your saying is, if the Cowboys Playoff hopes come down to the last game of the season.
Cowboys play the Commanders and
Giants play the eagles
In order for the Cowboys to win the division and make the playoffs.
The Cowboys have to beat the Commanders and the Eagles have to beat the Giants.
And there was no other scenario for the Cowboys to win the division and make the playoffs.
You still wouldn't root for the eagles for that one week.

If you wouldn't root for the eagles to beat the crap out of the giants week 17 in that scenario,
you my friend are not a true fan of this team.

Whatever it takes to get my Cowboys in the playoffs is what i want to happen,
End of story

Whatever happens I can spin positively. I do want them to beat the ever loving snot out of each other though. A few more Eagles losses could make that USC job mighty appealing to Chip though...

It's a wash either way. If the Giants win, they will be 2-1 in the division and have 4 wins. This basically means that the Cowboys has to beat the Giants for Cowboys to go over them if there was a tiebreaker.
The great news is that Philly would be 0-3 in the division, no need to worry about any tiebreakers with them.
If it is the Eagles, the Eagles would be 3-3. The good news is that both the Eagles and Giants will be 1-2 in the division.

Meh. There's good either way; Giants lose they come back to earth and the whole East still has mediocre records. Eagles lose then they're one step closer to full on implosion mode.

I'd lean towards having NY lose though. That way, we beat them next week we're right back near the top of the East race.

I only root for the Cowboys. Other than that, whatever happens, happens.

At the end of the day either the eagles or the giants post a loss, sounds good anyway you say or write that statement.
Cowboys need to right their own ship, heck with the other teams in the east.

I'm rooting for Josh Brown to have a monster night kicking the ball.

That's the extend of the rooting I'll be doing tonight lol

This is easy for me. We need the Eagles to win. As much as I hate the Eagles, it is best for the Cowboys if they win because a win on Sunday by us and a loss by Philly to an undefeated team in Carolina will put us in first place, with only two more games until Romo comes back.

If the Giants win and we beat them on Sunday, they are still in first.
