I will never root for the Eagles.

Plus my girlfriend is a Giants fan, I always force her to take my side during Cowboys-Eagles games.

It's too early into the season to even matter IMO.

Oh it matters. It's just too early to know which outcome we should hope for. We don't know if one of the teams will get hot, or one will stumble. Or if both will suck, or both get hot.

I'm just going with the Eagles right now because I just think the longer the Cowboys can just hang around near the top, the better.

no way. I feel if the Eagles win, they right their ship. Giants win and next week is not a must for them next week.

Nope, would rather them lose going into a tough game at Carolina..last thing they need is to gain confidence. We own the Giants and can take care of them next week.

Meh. I don't want to bet on any confidence building. Just have them beat the giants tonight and I'm good. That said, if they do lose and they drop to 0-3, I will not lose any sleep. They probably are done when it comes to tiebreakers if it comes to that if it happens. I do think the Eagles win tonight though. The Giants are hurting.

In the end, as it stands right now, does it even really matter? The Cowboys need to start winning games. Now!

Only thing I'm looking forward to during this game of two ******* teams is the Star Wars tailor that will be airing.

He/She must make some out-of-this-world outfits? ;)

Beckham is expected to play tonight, depending on pregame workouts.
I hope he plays, and aggravates the hammy, keeps him out of next weeks game.

So, it probably benefits us most immediately if the Eagles win. However, I believe two things:
1. They are legitimately the better team. They'll be a bigger competitor down the line than the Giants
2. Getting the Giants off a win is better than getting them on a must-win game off a loss.

If the Giants lose, they drop to 2-4. If they lose to us, 2-5. The game against us becomes 100% must-win. How much of a difference does it make? I don't know, but it's something to consider.

I hope the Eagles win:
If the Giants lose they are 3-3 so would Philly thus keeping both teams just a game ahead of us.
We play the Giants next and I think we can beat them.
We have Philly again at home.

If I was the HC, I would require the team to watch the game together at Valley Ranch, in separate rooms, grouped by units with no coaches and with a DVR control in hand, focusing entirely on the Giants. Every series should be rewound and discussed during commercial break. Cassel and the offense should discuss every blitz package and reads. The defense should be focusing on tendencies in regard to formation and down and distance.

Then, do the same thing again during the week with the coaches. They should prepare for the Giants as if they were going to play them in the Super Bowl.
