Who to Root for? NYG/PHI

So, it probably benefits us most immediately if the Eagles win. However, I believe two things:
1. They are legitimately the better team. They'll be a bigger competitor down the line than the Giants
2. Getting the Giants off a win is better than getting them on a must-win game off a loss.

If the Giants lose, they drop to 2-4. If they lose to us, 2-5. The game against us becomes 100% must-win. How much of a difference does it make? I don't know, but it's something to consider.

Giants 3-2
Cowboys 2-3
Eagles 2-3
Skins 2-4

The Giants will be 4-2 with a win.

It's probably best if the Giants lose, but I just cannot stand the Eagles. I'd be happy if they go 2-12 this season.

Just ask yourself which situation you would prefer going into next week.

Giants 3-3, 1-2 Div.
Eagles 3-3, 1-2 Div.
Cowboys 2-3, 2-0 Div.
Commanders 2-4, 1-1 Div.

Or

Giants 4-2, 2-1 Div.
Cowboys 2-3, 2-0 Div.
Commanders 2-4, 1-1 Div.
Eagles 2-4, 0-3 Div.

Oh it matters. It's just too early to know which outcome we should hope for. We don't know if one of the teams will get hot, or one will stumble. Or if both will suck, or both get hot.

I'm just going with the Eagles right now because I just think the longer the Cowboys can just hang around near the top, the better.

So it IS to early to matter then lol? We don't know who will be players in December. We don't know if we'd even be. Whoever wins tonight doesn't seal up the division so that's why I say it's too early to even matter.

I truly like the scenario 2 better. Why? Because the Eagles will be essentially out of the discussion until they can string together some wins. We can beat the Giants and be a half a game back and undefeated in the division. A half a game at this point in the season is nothing and the Giants will have a bad streak at some point this season.

Well, all of the games matter. This game might determine if someone has a better record than Dallas. But with so much of the season left, it's difficult to say exactly which team that might be (and really, maybe it won't matter as both teams will lose their remaining game/win their remaining games).

This is tough for me. If the eagles lose they would be 0-3 in the division and their season would most likely be over. Seeing the look on Kelly's face after that would be a heck or a sight.

There really isn't a wrong answer here, somebody is going to lose and that's going to be awesome. But from a pure emotional standpoint, yes, I think I hate the Eagles more than the Giants currently. Let's go with this. LOL.

I can't root for either team, it would benefit Dallas if the giants won... that's the best I can do.

Honestly, both scenarios have their advantages/disadvantages, such that I'm not really gonna be hoping for much other than for the Giants and Eagles to beat each other up.

The best thing for the Cowboys immediate future is an Eagles victory to put the Giants at 3-3, since we have a chance to beat the Giants next Sunday, and possibly take first place in the division. However, if that happens, you have two division foes at .500, giving both teams the opportunity to get hot and run off a bunch of victories.

If the Giants win, you put the Eagles in a hole, and the season may just spiral downward for them, leaving only one team to contend with.

But they both are in our division lol. Unless you want a tie.

Yes they are both in our division, so it's a divisional game... it matters. When we aren't playing in it, may the team with the best record lose. That's what's best us.
