Seeing the Eagles lose would put chip even more in the hot seat. I'll take that.

A Giants loss puts the Cowboys only 1/2 game out of first, but that Eagles win drops the Cowboys to third place.

Bottom line- while Dallas will fall behind tonight's winner; a team I despise is going down. Some solace there.:)

I'd rather see another loss for the Eagles. The team may go into meltdown if they lose convincingly at home on MNF

Sure it matters. If you think the iggle's ceiling is higher then you are right to want to see them lose tonight. I don't know which team's ceiling is higher, I just know the gnats have the better record right now so I want them to lose.

You don't know which teams ceiling is higher because its too early too tell lol. Todays game does not matter. A NFC East team will lose tonight. That's a positive for us.

I'm going Eagles b/c unfortunately I don't think we win next week. Maybe I'm wrong but we have beaten them SIX times in a row. It's hard enough getting to seven against a division rival with our full team. So in case we lose, I'd rather the Gints be a game down.

We've only beat them 5 times in a row.

You sure? I thought I had read 6... lemme go look....whatever the case, any more than 3 times in a row over a division rival that isn't historically atrocious (See: Texan and Jaguars divisional games or us owning the Commanders last decade) is very difficult to maintain. Just my opinion....

They beat us in the rematch game in 2012 (Remember the Dez fingertip?", and that was the last time they had a W against us.

And if Eagles win tongiht than our season is over lol? And next week isn't a must-win. Its a must-win for fans because fans want to feel comfortable bu its far too early. We're in week 6...........i guess i'm in the minority on that but that's just how I feel. This race is too close and its too early to talk must-wins. Like last year when we played the Eagirls the first time everyone considered that a must-win and to be for the NFC East title. We get beat down......December comes and we take it.

No. if the iggles win then we just have some breathing room and it's not must win next week. But the game still matters. This season, nine or ten wins will probably win the division.

Oh it matters. It's just too early to know which outcome we should hope for. We don't know if one of the teams will get hot, or one will stumble. Or if both will suck, or both get hot.

I'm just going with the Eagles right now because I just think the longer the Cowboys can just hang around near the top, the better.

No way will I root for the Eagles. Any game the Eagles lose is a positive.. I was team Giants all the way last night. The Eagles are our biggest threat. They always seem to beat us at home, and people forget if they had a field-goal kicker they'd be 5 & 1. Those guys had so much turnover in the off-season what's going to happen if they start to gel? No way do you root for the Eagles to win any game.

Sam Bradford is garbage, the giants are by far the bigger threat.

And if the GIants win tonight and beat us next week with a recently signed backup quarterback making his first start for the team and a limited Dez, they would have a 2.5 game lead over us as well as a better conference record and divisional record. That means we would we need help from other teams to win the division. There's absolutely no logic or common sense in that thinking.

If you take care of your business, makes perfect sense....Eagles are the greater threat, more talented team....if they had lost last night, the Eagles would have been one step closer to being done...If the Giants won, so what....being 4-2 could have become 4-3 with a lost to Dallas this upcoming week (taking care of business) and sweep of the series...Hopefully Eagles would lose to Pathers and they would be staring at 2-5.....Dallas would be in drivers seat at that point with a game looming against a demoralized Eagles team...sound logical to me!!!! Doesn't matter now, Eagles gifted (earned) a nice win, keeping them in the thick of things, something I would have like avoided....

I think 2-4, in any other division would pretty much put an end to the playoff hopes.

But neither of those teams last night, look to be "trending" up. They are both beatable. Yeah yeah, Philly. Im not buying it.

So, we could probably stumble bumble and fumble are way to 2-4 , 2-5. and then get hot down the stretch and maybe pull the division out. But, that would be a long shot...coming back from 2-4, 2-5. Thats going to take outside help, and for Romo to win them all............

We win the next 2, and will be sitting pretty.

Cassel. Collins. Crissy. We will unleash "operation triple C" this week on the NFL. (but the defense will be the real story)

With the Giants losing last night, we are 0.5 games out of first place, hold the first tie-breaker (head-to-head) currently over the two teams ahead of us, have a 1.5 game lead on the second tie-breaker (division record) over the two teams ahead of us, have a 0.5 game lead on the third tie-breaker (conference record) over the two teams ahead of us, and are completely in control of our destiny.

If the Giants had won, we would have been 1.5 games out of first place, held the first tie-breaker (currently) over the one team one team ahead of us, had a 0.5 game lead on the second tie breaker (which wouldn't matter being over 1 game behind at that point), and next week's game would be a must-win game or else we fall 2.5 games back and lose all of our tie-breakers to the Giants.

There is absolutely no logic to rooting for the Giants last night. Logic is based on what you know right now, not assumptions of future success or failure of other teams because you never know what will happen. As it is right now, with an injured team, the best we can hope for is to keep everyone in our division close to or behind us.

Not with that defense and that OL.

The Eagles at least have a legit unit in their defense. They are the bigger threat.
