Who wants to guess Ezekiel Elliott rookie season yards?

Very hard to say. He may not even start in the beginning of the season. Tony Dorsett, as good as he was, didn't start in the beginning of the season his rookie year. Preston Pearson did. The reason was Dorsett still was facing a learning curve while Pearson knew the ropes. Will they do the same with Elliot? Dunno.

Pretty funny that a big reason we needed Elliott was to get away from RBBC. And now people want a RBBC.

No sir, I don't want it at all, but I don't want a rookie to get overused and be done in a few years like Marion Barber. That's why I called him the chairman of the board. :)

1086 yards 10 tds

I agree with this. I look for him to start slow because the coaches will still have a running back by committee limiting his carries in first four games. as the season wears on and mcfaddon gets hurt and he will because last year was the first year he stayed heathly and he already is already going to get his full salary he will not have to earn it. I think the last eight games if Elliot stays healthy himself he will take off and look like the guy some of us think he will be.

dont think we want a rbbc but unless/until we trade 1 or 2 they will get their touches. Zeke will also need to get acclimated to NFL. It took Emmitt 1/2 a season

i'll go with 950-1150 this year with a strong finish

Marion Barber never even had a 1,000 yard season and in his biggest year he didn't carry the ball 13 times a game. He was far from overused.

People keep bringing up Emmitt and how it took him time to acclimate, they forget that as a rookie Emmitt missed almost all of training camp because of contract negotiations. So the first few games were essentially Emmitt's preseason.

50,000 yards.
Half of them passing (as the qb).
8 TDs... a game.

I'll say 1,475 yards rushing with 12 tds. 435 yards receiving with 4 tds

That's in line with what I'm thinking.

They aren't going to give him 350 carries.

I hope not. McFadden and Morris sound like they are pumped and ready to show they deserve carries as well with the burst and focus they showed at OTA's. I would hope we get the most out of those 2 this year instead of putting the all the weight on Zekes shoulders as a rookie.

In all seriousness depends on who's on the roster first game.. If its Zeus, DMac and Morris then it is going going to be about a 50 25-25 split. If DMac or Morris is gone then Zeus will get more carries.

As the title says, let's all guess how many yards Elliott will get in his rookie reason. I'll say at 1500 yards for his first season in the NFL.

1650 Rushing Yards ,16 TD's
450 Receiving Yard, 4 TD's

There is no way of knowing the philosophy going in to "guess" the yardage.

Will we have 2014 philosophy?

Or

Will we have 2015 philosophy?

So... If 2014 = 1,200 plus yards

If 2015 = 800-999
