Who wants to guess Ezekiel Elliott rookie season yards?

Maybe 1,100 yards rushing. I don't think he'll get the workload to get more than that.

Personally I do think its running back by committee to start the season, then Elliott eventually takes over. I dont see Elliott rushing for 1500 unless Mcfadden or Morris get injured or are no longer on the team. I can see a scenerio where we have two 1000 yard rushers or close to it.

18 carries a game, 5.4 ypc, 1555 yards, 17 TDs

I like this approach to the original post... 5.4 ypc is certainly doable here...
Even the 17 TDs wouldn't shock me.

Here's my guess:

256 carries
1331 yards (5.2 ypc)
13 TDs rushing
29 catches
272 yards
4 TDs receiving

1350 yards
6 ypc
15 tds
20 catches
200 yards
3 tds

morris
1000 yards
5 ypc
3 tds

1256 yards. McFadden and Morris will take some away.

Marion Barber never even had a 1,000 yard season and in his biggest year he didn't carry the ball 13 times a game. He was far from overused.

I like where you're going...if I'm following you. However, I disagree. Marion's style was too brutal for his own good. I don't know what EE's style will be in the pros. I just hope he doesn't take too many hits, etc. I would love to see him being with the Boys for years to come.

960 rushing 6tds

You need to realize Morris, McFadden will get touches as well. Passing game with Romo will become a factor in this as well

I see what you mean, but I would say it was his style that was the problem and not the number of carries. He simply never learned to minimize impact and so his ceiling for carries was very low. From what I've seen of Zeke he's not going to look for contact and his elusiveness gears him towards a lot more carries. I don't want him overworked either, but I don't think that's going to happen on 20 - 22 carries per game - although I expect him to get slightly less than that as a rookie.

I'll go with his college and pro jersey number either which way. 1,521 or 2,115.

I'll take a guess of about 1275, despite his carries being somewhat limited to accommodate the RB-by-committee approach.

I think yall are severely underestimating his production in the passing game. Most have around 200 yards receiving. Dunbar had that in 4 games last year. Really 3 and a half.

You're making way too much sense. I hope the other rookie is good enough to get some run as well. I just want to see us maximize our draft picks and their value. I am a huge Morris fan..even when he was with the other team in DC. It would be nice to have wave after wave of attack.
Then again this wasn't about that. It was just about EE and what he may do this year.
