...Ben DiNucci. ...
He'll probably never do anything in the NFL, but in fairness...he was a completely developmental project thrown into the fire.

Nuc just signed on with Broncos, after very successful XFL season.

I’ve seen a lot of them and would have to go with Steve Pelluer over Gary Hogeboom. Pelluer had a 9-20 QB record and became the downfall for Tom Landry. Before anyone says Quincy Carter, he had a QB record of 18-16 and led the Cowboys to the playoffs once.
W/ the #1 D in the NFL.

Q is such a puzzle. He was extremely bad at QB, but people simply can't get over the #1 D leading the team to the playoffs.

Q was not just bad, he was terrible. Much worse than Pelluer.

QC? Really? The guy went 10-6 with a VERY average team, and made one of the most clutch laser beam throws ever. Watch at 3:09 on Youtube

2003 Cowboys at Giants MNF Week 2

Average? Having the best D in the NFL is average?

Why do people go to such lengths to try and make Q look better? He was absolutely awful. Beyond terrible.

Drew Henson gets my vote.

Dishonorable mentions: Ryan Leaf, Clint Stoerner, Ben DiNucci.

Quincy doesn't belong anywhere in this thread. He was clearly better than the guy he beat out, 2002 disaster Chad Hutchinson, and we even reached the playoffs with him.
Quincy sucked badly, but I have to give you that one, he was better than Hutch!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Babe Laufenberg was pretty brutal, but I’m going to go with Brad Johnson. He was absolutely horrid when he started in 2008 when Romo was hurt.
But neither were actually starting QB’s. They were backups who started.

A starter would be defined as winning the job in training camp . Not coming off the bench after starter goes down .
