Dude's making $2 million.
He might get double that somewhere to backup.
I would guess Jerry would offer that after watching The Trey Lance Project walk away. (He made $5M to sit for all but a couple plays this year.)
Lance gonna be QB2 next season.

The Giants & Jets could both use a quality veteran back up after they draft QB’s in the off-season so Rush may start by default in either situation . 2 yrs say 12-13 million. 6.5 per season .

All the more reason Dallas with a 3 next April starts down the road of a new back up that could give Dak accountability when 3 and outs pile up or the INT’s start sailing into the arms of safeties .

There are no Dak haters just Cowboy lovers!!!

I think this is the year Cooper Rush will cash in and get a fat contract during the offseason. He’s done enough and there will be a team who will offer him 15-20 million a year to see if he can put them over the hump. He’s beyond earned it and I think congratulations are in order.

So, which team signs him ladies and gents?
No one is paying him 20 million.
Expect him back as it's only a matter of time before the "THING" gets injured again and Rush is QB1..........again.

You can actually make an argument that Rush is the best veteran back up quarterback in the league. I bet he gets $5 million + next season. Rush plays well every time he is called upon.

the NFL has to turn to depth.

to many injuries, if i was a coach or Gm, im thinking, how can i get depth to keep things going.

CR is great for that.

Dear Football Gods, hes no starter
He has a winning record as a starting NFL QB.

If he’s not re-signed by the Cowboys he’s probably no longer in the league next season.
Nothing written in stone, but...Type Cooper Rush and Minnesota in your favorite search engine and you'll see for yourself there's some buzz.

You might not be able to "told ya so" on this one.

Rush will get backup pay. More along the lines of 5-8 mil. The NFL knows he's not a starter, that's just the fan base being silly.

You mean like Matt Cassell in KC?

I will wait and see how he does the last 2 games, that could make or break him.
Let's see how he performs without our best player on offense. I believe he's gonna struggle, and his sweepstakes lottery tickets will sell for about two bits each.
