If you had your choice, who would take over the reigns after Jerry moves on? I left Jerry Jr. out of it because he's the ugly stepchild.

After this weekend and Stephens deer in the headlights performance in the Day 1 Press Conference, I'd go with Charlotte.

If I can dream, then I'd like to see the Jones family sell. I don't want any of them.

How about the Packers approach? A public stock offering where nobody can own more than, let's say, .01% of the company?

Takes care of the meddlesome owner problem.

By now, I think it's more wishful thinking than a real possibility. He's convinced he's a personnel guy now. He's talked about how much "fun" it is to do it. He's got a father grooming him to continue the con once he's gone.

At best, I'm hoping Stephen at least hires a legit VP of Personnel when he takes over. Not Jerry Jones Jr. or any of that clan. A bonafide personnel guru who preferably would come from outside the organization.

That would be an improvement over what we're doing now.

I always hope they have to sell. To somebody that hires football people to do football jobs.

Just a dream. It'll be one of the Jones family.

Stephen has said he will hire a GM when that day comes. I hope he meant it. Of course, there's the little issue of hiring the right GM.

Don't laugh. She might be the only one with enough sense to hire good people and let them do their jobs.

Come to think about it...I would go with her too! Just not in a football capacity kind of way, if you know what I mean.

Wouldn't matter. We can hire the wrong GM. As long as the position of GM is now one that is held accountable for performance. That alone is a huge step forward for this franchise.

At least then the structure is sound. You'd just have to find the right people. That's much better than being stuck with the wrong people.

They actually talked about this on the radio broadcast of the draft. They said that Charlotte will be in charge of the business side and Stephan of the football side. Jerry, Jr. will be in Charge of marketing......

Team Charlotte.

She supposedly is the smartest of them. The entertainment/branding is the only area of the team that has done well over the past 20 years of Jones ownership. When the rubber hit the road on winning the Super Bowl, they sent her into the room, not Stephen.

Meanwhile, Stephen is tied to his father and is clearly complicit in the downward spiral over the past X number of years.

I think she would have the best chance of being the owner we want - a sharp operator and executive who would want to hire a GM who knows football.

Honestly.
I would go with Charlotte. She is very impressive when she speaks publicly and it's proven that most women (in this day in time) make better (more effective) managers than most men. Could you see her in the locker room throwing a roundhouse kick in the face of Ratliff after advising him,"I need to see more of you on the field so step up like the man we paid you to be".
