I'd get on the Buckner at #8 + a 2nd Trade Down Bandwagon.

Somebody else can have my seat on the Buckner at #4 Bandwagon.

My draft dreams never make any sense. We draft basketball players or celebrities. I don't notice that it's odd until I wake up and remember them.

I'm willing to put a toe on the wagon and here's why...Crawford/Buckner/Thornton/Lawrence, Gregory, or who ever is not smoking something is a very stout dline. Buckner has to play 3T to be most effective. Crawford can play LDE. Nobody will run down our throats with this dline.

you know who is a better run defender and actually play DE in the 4-3 plus play 3-t? joey bosa. he can actually get you 10 sacks a year and i dont see that in bucknor.

I don't think he's fast enough to regularly get to the QB from the 4-3 edge. He'd make a fine DT, but I personally don't think we should spend the top pick on one.

That's the thing. I love the player and if you put him next to Crawford they'd be awesome but we need a de. That said there are worse ideas I've seen at 4

I admire your courage given the overwhelmingly negative view of Buckner on this board. I'd be okay with it on the assumption that the staff will develop and maximize his potential which they think is greater than Bosa and worthy of #4.

I like Buckner much better than Bosa. Buckner has great upside and actually appears to try hard during the games.

I'm OK with his selection. Not my favourite, mind you. But I don't hate him.

So I guess I'm kind of just jogging along beside the bandwagon

He is not a DE in our scheme. His tape shows absolutely no ability to bend the corner, and no pass rush moves whatsoever. Maybe he's a 3-tech. But we a starter in Crawford there, and Buckner's mirror-image in David Irving backing him up. I'd be beyond pissed if he's our pick at 4.
