Ah well, like I said before, I can't have everything I want.
Too bad Hos, I'm still pissed Nutt isn't here. Who doesn't this on the sidelines.

I think all that happened is Dallas hired a guy who has shown that he is a good defensive backfield coach. He is here to replace Todd Bowles. I have seen Cowboy secondary under Campo and I have seen this secondary under Bowles I like the job Campo did more than what I saw out of Todd.

This is pathetic. Jerry is getting the band back together, all his old reject and retread buddies.

None of the position coaches on defense have ever worked with Wade Phillips.

Good to see our head coach has no say in who is assistants are. Nice work, Jerry.

Campo had more success here: but he also had more talent IMO. All we can do is move forward, I like him and I like Grantham. If we complete the week with Capers I'll be vERY  appreciative indeed. As a matter of fact, I wouldn't mind seeing Capers be the DC and Stewart take a slight demotion. I can't prove it, but he seemed a little over his head last season. Capers on this staff would be awesome IMO.:)

I'll go along with that.

Misinformation again.

The only guys Jerry has hired on the coaching staff that coached here before are Houck and Campo, who both had success as position coaches here.

Grantham and Capers(if hired) are 3-4 coaches who are familiar with Wade's scheme. As Wade stated in the presser Campo's inexperience in the 3-4 is irrelevant since the coverages are essentially the same.

And the hiring of coaches in Dallas is a collaborative effort. If Wade truly did not want Campo to be here he probably would not be here. It's far different than sayinf he has no control whatsoever on his staff.

He had Kevin Smith and Larry Brown at CB he helped Woodson who was a college LB and helped to convert him to safety. I don't know if the talent was any greater than Newman and Henry at CB with Hamlin and Williams at Safety. I know many have said they felt that when Woodson left that Roy game took a downward turn so how much of that is the coaching?

Campo talked about his interview with Wade Phillips, I think Wade was more involved in the selection than some are willing to give him credit for.

I agree I don't see this being a big splash in the eyes of NFL fans, for some Cowboy fans it is but overall no I would not consider this SB party buster news. :laugh2:

Campo took over maybe the greatest cover corner to ever live, and safety who in my opinion should be a Hall of Famer. Not many coaches inherit two Hall of Fame talents simultaneously. Campo didn't really improve them, they just kept being the same Deion and Woody and Woody that they were under their previous coaches. And on the other side of the coin, George Teague was still George Teague. Phillipi Sparks was still Phillipi Sparks. Mario Edwards was still Mario Edwards. Can't say we ever got a player off the street who nobody really wanted and he turned them into a Pro Bowl player, the way Bowles did with Hamlin.
