Why are all the "experts" saying Dallas is gonna suck?

If Dak plays well then this season will be huge blockbuster success to me,we got our franchise QB and all we need to do is build a Defense for him.
You could have said this every offseason sonce 2006.

Can't see that. We were 3-1 with Romo last year. No one in their right mind would expect us to suck with him.

They expect us to suck because we did suck without him last year and now we're relying on a rookie quarterback to make us better than that.

Nobody believes in us w and w/o Romo. We have to put together a string of winning seasons before that happens.

What am I missing? Everyone is slobbering over the Commanders, while forgetting the Matt Cassell lead Cowboys beat them last year. While we are still facing the Romoless issues I think we are better on defense with Scandrick, more depth at DT and Byron Jones moving the FS. Better on offense as well with Zeke and a healthy Dez.

Ha good point wasnt that the game we were all butt hurt about winning due to draft order. Well I think we came out ok with Zeke and Dak plus we got to win!

The experts are like weathermen, they cant get it right and apear to be just guessing. They are writing us off because they saw us fall apart last year and expect more of the same without Romo.

I believe we were considered the favorite to win the East last year coming off a 12-4 season with a playoff victory and another near-victory. There are smart talking heads who know why that season went sour and several were predicting Dallas to be the most likely team to bounce back from a poor record before we lost Romo for nearly half the season.

They have no defense and starting a rookie QB.

What gives with all this doubt?! It's crazy.

Brian Baldinger is not only buying Dak Prescott, but he is"doubling down"

That being said I am in agreement with the concensus here on this matter. The national media will mostly look to our record without Romo, an unproven 4th round draft pick and a defense that was bad and for the most part not upgraded over the offseason and predict (incorrectly) that we will have a bad year.

I am a homer and I believe in our Oline and run game and trust Dak will have more good games then bad. We will be a game or two above .500 when Romo returns.

All the preseason power rankings. Was also listening to NFL radio and Jim Miller and Pat Kirwin had nothing good to say. In fact, I've never heard Kirwin say much of anything positive towards Dallas.

Power rankings don't reflect who's gonna suck...they just reflect the state of every team at this precise moment. And at this moment, the Cowboys have a question mark at QB and almost half their starting defense is either injured or suspended. The Skins are a bedrock of stability by comparison lol...

The real reflection of who the "experts" think will be good and who they think will suck is the the season predictions. Almost none of the "slobbering over the Commanders" experts actually pick the Commanders to win the division, and almost all pick the Cowboys or Giant...

I prefer the experts go against us and that we fly under the radar. We don't need any undeserved hype. I want guys coming in with something to prove.

Because it's easy to bet against a team with a bad defense a starting 4th round rookie qb coming off a 4 win seasons.

Plus many of them had to display their yearly faith in the Eagles by predicting them...again. Eventually they might get it right!

They are ALL betting that a rookie QB will loss games to start with and for the most part they are right. If our running game is really that good then we keep our rookie mistakes to a minimum.

If our OL can protect Dak, then he should have time to scan the field. The coaches have a plan for him and won't overkill him with reads.

Wishful thinking is not reporting. The cowboys sell news whether we are playing well or not, a lot in the media prefer that we don't.

Everyone is focusing on Dak. Vastly underestimating Zeke. He is a stud and will take the league by storm.

Nobody knows what might happen in advance of most division games. This one, especially, in is no exception. I'm expecting the unexpected twists and turns that take place in most divisional contests. We have a rookie QB and they have a rookie coach. That is a combination that leaves far too many questions as to any predetermined outcome. As with most divisional games, I think it'll be a close one.

That is a great question.....................what are you missing?

Let me explain it to you:

-We were 4-12 last year for the sole reason of Tony Romo going down. IN case you didnt notice, he went down again. And he is out possibly for the first half of the season. Some will argue laughably that its only going to be 3 games. And on top of that our #2 QB also got injured. So we are down to our 3rd string Rookie QB. That a lone would probably cause most people to completely write us off.

-Then you have the pass rush problem which looks like it could be toward the bottom of the league again. Then on top of that nearly 1/3 of our defense is suspended or hurt.

Does any of that seem like a good reason for most people to write us off?

Now I dont necessarily agree with them, but the ONLY reason I am holding out hope is because of Dak Prescott. If he ACTUALLY plays like a rookie we will be in big trouble.

It might be 4.
