Why are people acting like getting Lee back is a "bonus"?

Ok......believe what you want and I will believe what will happen regardless

It's not a question of "belief." I believe one day I'll be a millionaire. doesn't necessarily mean it is going to happen. Will I be surprised if it works out that way? Not at all. Rolando is good fit with the Cowboys...it makes sense. But until it is a reality, I'm not going to get my hopes up.

Proof he cannot be counted on no matter how good he is.

Thx for the info.

Any contribution from Lee should be viewed as gravy. They cannot go into a season counting on him to fill a position for a full season. He will give you everything he has, and will play well, but he is a player whose body just is not capable of handling the physical rigor of the NFL.

College either. Sad really.

I give him a "mulligan" on the ACL tear because it was an old injury that wasn't properly taken care of.

I think he comes back and plays most of the season at a near All-Pro level.

I think Lee to WLB is almost a given, I think this team may be to the point where him in the middle is detrimental to his health. If McClain is signed it will cement it, if McClain isn't signed they have other options but I would still say 75% sure Lee will not be the opening day starter at MLB.

It's a good bet, no question. But I'm not much of a betting man.

They are somewhere between full time starters and emergency starters. Brinkley has started 33 NFL games and 15 of 16 one season.

33 starts in 6 seasons and 4 seasons where he saw 5 or less starts. Kyle Wilber has 9 starts in 3 seasons. If he is starting 5+ games for the Cowboys at linebacker, we are in trouble.

Because he is. Guy was out last year so it won't be hard to out produce zero.

And to say definitively whether he will be there or not at the end of the year...

Nobody knows. Regardless of your position on the issue. We do know that he has been very good when he has played for us. It's hard to fault fans for being optimistic in that sense. It certainly isn't puerile.

How nice of you to ignore the 14 games he played in his rookie year and counting this sixth season as zero games played when no games have been played at all.

Guess it makes your numbers sound more drastic or something.

I wouldnt say getting Lee back is a bonus either.

This "bonus" is costing us a ton of cap room and needs to start producing.

I believe something so it must be true is a common cognitive distortion. But I play cards a lot and use my 'gut' instincts at times to defy the odds. OTOH, I know emotional reasoning is generally not a good idea.

Just the facts, mam.
