Why are people complaining and blaming the D

They held the to 20 pts. If you told me that before the game I'd take it. The ones complaining are some of the same ones who would've laughed if someone said we would hold them to 20 pts yet they are still complaining.

If blame goes anywhere it should go on the wr's. Too many drops. Someone will watch the all 22 and post but we didn't stretch the field but I don't know if that was on Dak, the play calling or the Giants D just doing a good job at taking it away.

Overall not a horrible game. All the doom and gloom is quite ammusing.

We dominated the clock but they still scored basically at will.

I guess "rested" starters really don't mean a crap if they suck.

I get it. But we have an opportunity with three minutes left to get the ball back. We get gashed. This happens way to much.

What good is it holding them to 20 points, if we can't stop them when we have to.

Yeah, the offense should have scored more. But the defense has got to step up. The fail to do this way too consistently.

Because even with nearly a full quarter advantage in T.O.P, they still manage to get run over to the tune of 4.7 YPC, allow 50% of 3rd down conversions to be successful, and get zero consistent pressure on the QB.

The best thing the defense has going for them is the fact that the offense keeps them from embarrassing themselves any more than they already do.

I feared that the offense would find a way to control the clock, but the defense would give up quick scores putting us in a bad position. We had our chances on offense, though. I knew we had NO PASS RUSH, but the run defense looked worse than expected.

Wr's dropping the ball, not stretching the field enough who's fault that was, keeping zeke in the game when he wasn't getting anything and Morris was moving the ball. There are multiple things to blame but this D giving up 20 isn't one of them.

20 doesn't tell the whole story thats why. This unit was nowhere near being the worst d in the league last year, statistically. The problem is like today, those stats are misleading.

It is too bad we could not get a win with the D showing an average to slightly below average performance. Imo it is going to get much worse as year goes on. It is so frustrating we have one good linebacker on the team and you never know if he can stay healthy. We also couldn't upgrade JJ Wilcox this offseason. These should be pretty easy upgrades.

Our interior defensive lineman are avg to below average and our rush ends are near league bottom.

The depth is very slim even without not a lot of talent. Things will probably get ugly as the season continues and you need to deal with injuries.

Did you think they could hold the giants to 20 pts? If you were told that before the game, you would say that will lose us the game? Our offense score 19. Even with a rookie qb the offense has 3 times the talent the defense does and they managed 19 pts. I'll take 20pts from this defense every game. No matter the other statistics the points the give up is what matters. One more time it was 20 pts. Lol. 20 pts for the worst defense in the NFL.

The D isn't good, but we know the type of talent we have on that side of the ball & I thought they did enough to win the game. Dez drops TD, Beasley drops ball at the 1.. Defense forced 5 punts, getting INT to set up the only TD. We had plenty of chances to make this a 2 score game & Garrett/Linehan failed to put Dak in position to win.
