Yes I understand but the giants gained their confidence on that drive. Then on defense after la el collins go the hold in the third quarter they just put their ears back. they got some momentum and we never got any back.

They beat us the exact way we were supposed to beat them and they hardly ever had the ball.

I don't believe that because our defense started playing better in the second half, we started to get some pressure on Eli but we had trouble keeping them out of the end zone. If your opponent is scoring TD's and keeping you to FG's, you're probably going to lose. We had an opportunity with just over 6 minutes to play to protect our lead by holding them to a FG and we couldn't do it.

The 1

Yep watched the whole game. Seen our d keep it with in 7 the whole game. Seen our offense fail multiple times at putting up 7 instead of 3. Seen wr's with multiple drops. Seen our #1 pick do very little. At the end of the game that horrible d gave up 20 pts. If our offense can't put up more than 19 the d isn't the issue.
You aren't seeing the forest for the trees.........the D was weak, especially when it mattered(the O wasn't any better)

Where was the offense when the defense stop the Giants on 2 straight possessions in the 3rd? They also got the o the ball back in the fourth to give them a chance, not their fault Williams squandered their chance.

weak sauce.....they choked

Yes the offense did multiple times. Only td came off a defense turnover that gave them great field position. Could be wrong on that but pretty sure that was the offense only td. But yeah it's the d fault and they we're horrible.

Because it's the same story. Good for three quarters, fail at crunch time.

They weren't even good for 3 quarters. They were only good for a few drives in the 2nd half. First 2 quarters were the same junk. The only to we got was on a miscommunication and Carr was just there. We have zero playmakers on defense. Zero pass rush. No LB play whatsoever.

Thank the offense for controlling the ball as much as they did, or they give up 40. The very last drive the Giants didn't even try and score. They could have if they needed with ease.

They held the to 20 pts. If you told me that before the game I'd take it. The ones complaining are some of the same ones who would've laughed if someone said we would hold them to 20 pts yet they are still complaining.

If blame goes anywhere it should go on the wr's. Too many drops. Someone will watch the all 22 and post but we didn't stretch the field but I don't know if that was on Dak, the play calling or the Giants D just doing a good job at taking it away.

Overall not a horrible game. All the doom and gloom is quite ammusing.

I get your points but isn't it fair to say that they were held to 20 points in large part due to our TOP dominance??? Hard to score on offense if your TOP is so limited. Also, if Giants needed to score that last possession I believe they would have.

That stated, our lack of game situational awareness in key situations (I.e., players failing to get out of bounds) was the main contributor to this loss. This team is heinously stupid in those situations without romo and that is a glaring indictment of this coaching staff. Indeed, that's been an issue for years with Garrett which is the main reason he lost play calling responsibilities some years ago...to "lighten the game management load." Smh.

Why is the argument in favor of the D that the offense was bad? Yes, the O should score TDs when they have 1st and goal. But this D is a train wreck.

Need a stop at the end of the half to preserve a lead? Not a chance. How about a stop without burning all our timeouts at the end of the game, when everyone in America knows the opposition is going to run? Nope. When was the last time the D made a stop to end a game? Seems like forever.
I agree our only strategy is to let the opposition score with enough time for Tony (now Dak) to make a last second comeback. But it really had to be LAST second, or the D will surely give up a comeback squashing drive in 23 seconds.

But it didn't become a first down did it. The whipping boy that all yall love to hate, Wilcox, made the save huh. Instead of giving Wilcox props yall want to say almost gave up a first[/QUOTE
Wilcox is a disappointment just like Carr. What have you been watching?

Funny Carr makes an interception that helped get out only TD of the game and Wilcox made a huge stop to get our offense the ball back with a minute and a half
